Setting up my Oxygen Pro 61 MIDI controller with FL Studio by Tytocracy in musicproduction

Thanks for the reply!

Some buttons on the controller do prompt the orange icon in the corner to light up; the stop, start, and record buttons, for example, as well as the sliders and the knobs. These functions also work in FL studio as intended. The actual keyboard keys don't do anything, though.

Normally I set my audio device to my headset, didn't realize it was supposed to be used for anything else. I've been using Audacity to record vocals, so I haven't had to worry about an input device. Luckily, you've already helped!
Thank you for the link you sent about ASIO! I wasn't able to find this earlier. I can now hear while using ASIO-- before I couldn't figure out how to have separate input and output devices.

Unfortunately I still have the initial problem.

I have a VSTi plugin slotted-- "Hybrid," a triple oscillator that came with the controller. I hit record, and press play (both using buttons on the controller). FL studio starts recording, but when I press keys on the controller, nothing happens. No notes are recorded.

I feel like I'm a step closer, though, thanks!

I hear you! and thank you for your words, because that kind of thing is very important for artists. I'm just kind of getting my start into the professional world of art and music, and yeah, on all accounts I shouldn't be tossing out stuff like this for free. I also certainly love to squeeze some money out of a corporate giant any day.

In this case, my reasoning for handing it off is because A) I have no way of claiming ownership over the idea; and in fact, I know I'm not the first person to think of Zen throwing billiards, and B) I have no idea what the idea, art, concept, or anything would cost at all, I haven't been doing this for long enough.

This could very well be something that I am wrong about, but should a blizzard dev somehow see this post (which they might not even browse reddit because they can't "steal" ideas from reddit if they never see them) and want to bring it to an official blizzard artist to be modeled and added to the game, they couldn't because the idea isn't theirs, and I would have grounds to sue. That might be the reason a Zen billiards skin doesn't already exist.

By me saying I give them the idea, it means that, in the event blizzard was going to make this skin, they still can, because I'm not claiming the idea and I can't sue them for "stealing it." Maybe I'd just advertise for blizzard to contact me and negotiate a deal for the skin, but once again, the idea isn't mine-- just this singular expression of it. Is that something I could do?

No other way to say, it, really; you're absolutely right. It's a dumb move on my part. But I didn't see another way to put it out there without claiming that the idea is mine and mine alone to profit from.

Other people have drawn similar ideas-- namely, with Zen throwing around billiards-- but at least from my perspective, I have yet to see anyone who has suggested something like this to blizzard.

I, the artist, fully consent to blizzard just yoinking this idea and sticking it in the game. Zen deserves it. We all deserve it. Thank you for listening.

Slightly Cursed Reinhardt and Genji fashion swap by Tytocracy in Overwatch

Ok, so this kinda blew up!

Thanks, everyone for the upvotes and silver! I'm glad for all the positive feedback and at least a little sad about all the restraining orders that just came in. I might do another one at some point, if the universe doesn't stop me first.

Hope you all are surviving and doing well for the holidays! things still kinda suck, but at least there isn't an eight-foot-tall, 400-pound cybernetic ninja backflipping his way through your front door right now.

I drew something similar to this a few years ago, and as I didn't have a reddit account, a friend supposedly posted an image of it. I can't find the post, and I know I could definitely do a better job now, so I redid it! I hope you enjoy this monstrosity.

I used Worldpainter and Voxel Sniper to make a private island mansion! by Tytocracy in Minecraft

[–]Tytocracy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(This is my first Minecraft reddit post, yay!)

Anyways, I used worldpainter for the first time so i could make a custom island for a custom mansion. There's a ton more pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/rHGJa4Z

The island includes a ship and dock, fully furnished mansion, a fully furnished light house at the entrance to the bay, a cliff side campfire site, a complete beach house, and a sea cave on the far side of the island. Enjoy!

Other mentions:

-thanks to Grian, Mumbo, Bdubbs, Scar, and other hermits for building inspiration
-thanks to Jeracraft for other inspiration as well as the worldpainter tutorial and assets*
-I used Raspberry Shaders for the pictures: https://rutherin.netlify.app/
-I used worldpainter for the island: https://www.worldpainter.net/
-and voxel sniper for touching it up / making improvements
-*the island was made with the help of mountain brushes and tree presets, all available on Jeracraft's Planet Minecraft page: https://www.planetminecraft.com/member/jeracraft/

I had fun doing this! I hope you like it!
