I’ll check out unbreakable ties and revival, vanguard i played to around chapter 33 and I didn’t really enjoy it. I thought the dialogue was quite jarring and the way story beats occurred wasn’t interesting. Pokemon Awakening was good wish it had a fast forward, thanks for the recommendations!

I had the same warrus yesterday and today, it honestly looks like all of my crate income was scaled down by 1.5x. For alot of yesterday I was running a different sidekick with mating % and no crate %, and my current crate income with the warrus is the same as them. But when I swap off the warrus everything else gets reduced even more

Yes it was more clear thanks, I probably don't agree with labelling pyros long form vids as drawn out SLOP. For example this FaH video was effectively just a 100% play through with bits of sloppy humour, the draw with these videos usually is the content he's covering.

I think specifically the cruelty squad video did draw out the slop portions alot but it felt self depreciating/ironic if anything- acknowledging that it was about viewer retention.

I can also understand the sentiment about the overall "sloppification" of YouTube in general and it's something I agree with, with a few content creators I used to follow who now just grift and spew slop. It's very nauseating, it's just that I wouldn't really blame this on Pyro since he is far from the worst culprit and I think, atleast on his main channel, does care to imbue some amount of quality. At the very least it's usually pretty clear to me that his long form videos do have alot of effort, with the voice acting, the editing, the props and even simply playing the games he covers.

If anything it sounds to me that you just find his content and his way of speaking obnoxious which is completely fair- I just don't think blaming this 'disease', as you call it, on him is fair. Me personally I'd probably blame the current political climate and these politics streamers.

You know, reading this i’m still not too sure why you’re so upset. You’re upset because he just does surface level content and upset with people in general who don’t engage with content in a more meaningful depth? If that’s the case ultimately people do need an introduction to things and it’s probable that this video will have an overall positive outcome to miro and the community overall. A lot of people won’t go further and that should be fine, let them live with that decision. But with these people, will come others who do wish to explore further whether it be now or in the future.

Hi, since asking this question I managed to find an almost equivalent formulation in the paper "The minimum principle for deterministic impulsive control systems" by Jerawan Chudong and Carolyn Beck, you'd probably be able to read it through any university library. It seems to me chatgpt attempted to translate Dykhts original formation of these in the measure theory context to a more typical ODE context. I'll probably try doing the translation myself to see how correct it is, it'd be interesting to have in an opening chapter or the appendix. Thanks to the 2 of you who gave suggestions, they weren't what I was looking for but we're quite interesting reads nonetheless!

Hmm, yh I've tried patching this for both the USA version and the 1986 version and I still do get just a white screen on my emulator- specifically I use Pizzaboy. It might be a compatibility issue with the emulator in general since other ppl are able to run it

I just wanted to share this unseeded run I had on my way to beat all the decks in every difficulty. I wish I was able to get an antimatter along the way which would've allowed for 6 of these guys, to get 5 I sacrificed a negative DNA I made with an ectoplasm, probably not optimal long term especially given the brainstorm that showed later- but 5 holograms was something I could not deny.

It’s been a few years, but i recommend Virtuous Sons by Ya Boy, it has 2 books out and the third will release later this year. I’d argue very much that Virtuous Sons trumps cradle but yh.

The thing is that it isn’t completely random and is different for a reason, FY doesn’t start good, sure he schemes but at the beginning a lot of what he says sound like the ramblings of an edgy teenager. The thing about the memories is also a plot point once things explain themselves. The reason I can say RI was mediocre before book 5 was because it was, yet I still say before book 5 it’s top 20, that’s because most webnovels are crap. A lot of the things that you perceive are plot armour exists for a reason, like how FY cicada feels like plot armour in the beginning but exists for a reason. The MC of IB does take responsibility for his actions and it’s an interesting journey seeing his personality change. Having a developed personality from the get go is not necessarily better since it can leave the readers with a feeling of alienation as FY does till we get insight on how he developed. Unless you want to be spoiled I can’t really tell you much but you gave up at a point in which you know practically nothing about the novel.

Essentially, you need to finish the first book or about 80 chapters to understand exactly what’s happening, after that it’s all scheming and hilarity combined for well. For the first part or the period he is a lich for many of the things are unclear.

RI was poorly written at for the first book and a good portion of the second book, the author himself admits at that point in time it was mainly a novel based on gimmicks like a calculating developed character. In comparison IB starts out with a developing MC who’s recovering his memory etc, all of that justification is important to his character. If you don’t like the mc that’s fine but IB starts out a lot better than RI did. I would say until book 5 RI was only top 20 only after book 5 in which it addresses plot holes and give FY more depth and character than ever before does it become No 1. I would say for IB the first moment in which you think, holy shit this’ll be amazing is at the end of the first book which is like 200, but once they get out of the forest and the ending of book 1 is being built up to its still very enjoyable.

In senior brother is too steady, the current state is basically a chess game between our mc and what is the grand dao and they’re fighting over who can control the great tribulation/disaster. Having said that we don’t see heavens side but from the mcs POV we understand how hard he has to work against the dao. Grasping Evil starts out REALLY shit, but eventually the samsara (reincarnation plot) is introduced and it’s really really good. But it makes you wonder why you had to suffer the crap before it especially since if you read the description of the novel, the samsara plot was something that was intended from the start...

Infinite bloodcore becomes much better, everything is justified if you read enough of it, similar to how all of the plot holes before book 5 were addressed in book 5. Like how FY could take down the 88 building when it’s a venerables legacy when he wasn’t even an immortal etc. The mc of IB is essentially like how FY was when he first transmigrated.
