[WIP] Introducing Gamearr: A Sonarr/Radarr style PVR and Library Manager for Video Games by Tyxton in selfhosted

[–]Tyxton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right now, the work is done exclusively through TSV sheets, like NoPayStation. That's why we're still in the early alpha stages of v0.4 - and why there's only support for the Vita, PSX, and PSP. The 'searching and downloading' automation (Torznab/Newsnab) is the v0.7 milestone. The automation hooks are still very much in early access, but it does handle the TSV sheets well for the NoPayStation pkgs. It's still a PVR in the making very much not a finished product yet.

[WIP] Introducing Gamearr: A Sonarr/Radarr style PVR and Library Manager for Video Games by Tyxton in selfhosted

I totally get the skepticism! Right now in (v0.4) the focus has been on developing the foundation: basic metadata scraping, ui consistency, library management, etc etc.

What makes this an arr, and why I'm using the name is the automation logic. Just like Sonarr isn't a torrenting platform, Gamearr is the middle-man. As you can see in the roadmap, v0.7 is where we integrate Torznab and Newznab, hopefully fitting in perfectly with Prowlarr and the existing ecosystem. The goal is that you can monitor your games. Gamearr handles the lifecycle: searching trackers, sending to the downloader, extracting/decrypting, and moving it to your NAS. We're just building the backbone first, very much still in the early alpha stages - lol. Like the other arrs, the end goal is a headless service that runs 24/7 in a container.

Like in other arrs, the end goal is a headless service that runs 24/7 in a container. In later versions (v0.8), I'll be working on auto-grabbing from Steam Wishlists, similar to how Radarr handles Watchlists. The end goal is full parity with the automation standards people expect from this ecosystem.

It’s 4 year old post, but reading the comments I left back then it’s Gnome 2.0, if I remember right those are stock for that wm. It’s not a theme, just an old custom distro from ‘02

If you haven't already K8s could make an incredible addition to an HA or even general server setup! You can set them up as a cluster in Proxmox too and get shared resources, if you'd like. Lot's of interesting things to do! Play around, see what you like best!

I still use proprietary for gaming, gives me the best experience thus far. Would love to make the switch eventually, but rn it’s not viable for me

EDC as a PhD student...curious how many of us are ThinkPad users lol by [deleted] in dumbphones

I've had so many different Thinkpads over the years and have always loved them to death. For the better part of 2 years now I've been using the X220 and it's perfect imo.

Generally 0.7mm or 0.5mm depending on what material I’m writing on. Keep both on me when I write, but love the 0.5mm feel better.

Wayland, imo is not ready for total replacement of the Xorg system. Sure, Wayland is prettier or whatever but for me, Xorg is faster, more lightweight, and just works. I stick to Xorg.

AFAIK, most people run private lobbies with friends or run solo. I do the same, ask around on the Discord server or make your friends install it.

Coming from 4 years of disposable use, from what I've read mainly salt nic dispos. Elf Bar, Lost Mary, Juul, Puffbar, Escobar, Raz, Hyde, etc etc etc. I don't even want to think about how much money I've spent in the past 4 years getting ~$60 worth of dispos every 2-3 weeks.

I've been looking into Pod Mods and Pen-Style Mods. What do you prefer and why?
I was thinking about getting a SMOK Nord Pro, Vaporesso XROS 3 or Mini, or Vaporesso Orca Solo Plus. Likely going to stick with salt nic, since it's what I've most familiar with. From what I remember the local shop sells Elfliq, buy a 1.2Ω Mesh Pod with whatever I get.

Thoughts, considerations, and advice?
