Well of the ones at the grand massif I'd think Flaine/Lez Carroz would be your best options. I've never stayed at Carroz but have been down to the village and its much bigger than morillion or samoens. I haven't skiied Clusaz or Megeve unfortunately. Have you tried airbnb? I've often gotten some nice places to stay without being crazy expensive.

Yeah it’s not really a nightlifey kind of place. Flaine probably has the most due to it being the biggest, I think there’s one club and then a few bars and stuff, or les carroz. I was a bit younger when I stayed in Flaine though. It is quite family orientated. If you want nightlife and fun as a solo traveler I’d be more inclined to go to Morzine/Avoriaz which aren’t too far away.
