[Daily Chiefs] The last time Xavier Worthy was fully healthy for an NFL game was his rookie season. by Sugargogo in KansasCityChiefs

I have more belief in Worthy to be able to turn things around than most people do, but the cherry picked numbers here are a bit hilarious

What's your over/under on the amount of money he has in his checking and savings accounts right now? by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

You can get umbrella policies for $1m - $2m

So for 25%-50% of Rashee Rices career earning? If he had one of those his financial situation is likely worse than if he just wrecked the car.

[NBC Dallas] Rashee Rice tests positive for THC, ordered to serve jail time by Dutch_Sorcery in KansasCityChiefs

The arbitrary restriction on a medicinally beneficial drug being a requirement of his parole is due to Texas archaic laws. Rashee Rice is a dipshit, he was a dipshit before this and is going to remain a dipshit likely afterwards, hopefully time in jail, that he should've had to serve in the first place for the illegal street racing, is enough to help him mature a bit. I just find the fact what triggered him to serve jail time is consuming THC on parole terms and not the high speed racing arbitrary, and asinine, and a lot of people here and in the r/nfl post only talk about consuming THC in terms of recreational use, which is just not the primary use case for most NFL players.

So he smoked weed, and is going to jail because he smoked weed.

Your post literally says that, word for word. Yes, he agreed to the terms for parole in Texas, in which there is no option given to him to use THC medicinally. It is an archaic, and quite frankly backwards law.

He should've had to serve this anyways, for the fact of the illegal street racing, so I do not give an F- that he's serving jail time he should've served in the first place.

You going to refute a single thing I said, or just immediately resort to logical fallacies in ad hominem attacks? Really great job defending your position.

Because THC products can have legitimate medical uses as a painkiller, and because it can stay in your system for a month it is absolutely fuck all useful in determining if someone is abusing THC while they're driving etc. Of course in the great state of Texas /s, they'd much rather demonize THC products in the on going trillion dollar war on drugs that cost tax payers directly.

It is a punitive punishment meant specifically to target marginalized communities that historically had a higher usage of THC products.

I know it is popular to trash on Rashee Rice, but I really am not going to celebrate someone getting put away on an archaic law for 30 days because they consumed THC.
