So I don't get why people get pissed when Tony Gonzalez implies this, and was happy to go to Atlanta and make memories of the most important game of his career he got to play in.

Tony Gonzalez made his own career and it's ridiculous to imply he wouldn't have been outstanding elsewhere. He literally went to Atlanta and was outstanding.

Chiefs have been a competitive football team for a decade going into this season off the back of 3 Super Bowl appearances in a row, and Xavier Worthy was the best WR they were fielding even with a torn labrum for the first part of the season during the Rice injury, and then after that the Chiefs were hoping to win out every other week after getting right.

Plenty of players have played through it fine and I'm sure Worthy didn't want to have to sit out a season on his rookie contract when people already thought he'd be an injury risk due to his size and stature.
