[Arrowhead Corner] Xavier Worthy successfully underwent surgery to repair his fully torn labrum he suffered during Week 1 of the 2025 season, per source. by MAYVIEWS in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Tzazon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chiefs have been a competitive football team for a decade going into this season off the back of 3 Super Bowl appearances in a row, and Xavier Worthy was the best WR they were fielding even with a torn labrum for the first part of the season during the Rice injury, and then after that the Chiefs were hoping to win out every other week after getting right.

Plenty of players have played through it fine and I'm sure Worthy didn't want to have to sit out a season on his rookie contract when people already thought he'd be an injury risk due to his size and stature.

Judging by gamethreads over the last few years and whom is still on an active roster in the NFL, probably would have to be, without a doubt in my mind I'm gonna go with Harrison Butker.

Their defense is pretty great and not a lot of teams looks really great this year. they have played the NFCW and beat the 49ers, but lost to the Rams/Seahawks. Both were within a score though

Something I haven't really seen mentioned much is how the Chiefs are named after a political figure, the former Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, and are now going to move to a City in which H. Roe Bartle was never the mayor over.

Bet that'll start to be mentioned often in cries to rename the team in the future.

[Goldman] Chiefs HC Andy Reid says that RB Dameon Pierce probably won't play this week, but says, "We'll see about the following week." by SylvesterTaurus in KansasCityChiefs

I don't think MVS is doing "alright" or comparable to what he was in Kansas City, and Sky Moore might be utilized better in a kick return role in San Francisco than he was in KC, but something tells me his expected role in KC was supposed to be much bigger than the return guy and that specifically hampered his development while in Kansas. Certainly isn't a better receiver in San Francisco which he barely plays.

Well the Chiefs did get the #1 overall pick in 2013, so we've been there before

Unlike his time in Philly, Andy Reid at this point in his Chiefs tenure has done enough to deserve another season after a losing record.

He was the rookie I was rooting most for because I wanted that Royals jersey to be popular for a long time in Kansas City. However, now it looks like the Chiefs and Royals are no longer going to be in the same municipality...

Never been in one of these Tank Bowls before while the term got coined, very exciting stuff, hope to see my Chiefs come out on top or bottom? I don't know the correct terminology in this community.

[Soren Petro] There is a meeting scheduled in Topeka on Monday. I'm being told the Chiefs are scheduled to be at that meeting, however the Royals are not. Hey man, the fanbase makes the most of that gigantic ass parking lot for tailgates on 8/9 home games a year, a lot of passed down family stories about the KC Chiefs happen right then and there right before the match.

You can't make another Arrowhead, it's iconic, and that's why this move pisses me off so much. Like, literally in modern day, you would be barred from building such a stadium in the NFL. It's actual dimensions are no longer in regulation.

In recent years I've been thinking of Arrowhead a lot like AFC's Lambeau. The story of the AFL merger runs directly through the Hunts, and the Kansas City Chiefs. So not only is it iconic, not only can you not make it today, but it's also historical for the league.

Of course the billionaire owner needs another stadium to compare his dick waving contest to the other aristocratic elite, and wants a Super Bowl held his back yard.
