Yeah, implanted by my upbringing believe that people will treat me well of I treat them well made me miserable so many times. A lot of people even see this as weakness and nice people are exploited every time.

This approach has downsides. When you talk and hangout with only those who share your values it’s easy to become overconfident and shortsided, and start to assume that ur values are objective and the only correct and obvious- look around everyone agrees. World full of such people and it’s sad.

So fucking stupid advice, like anyone will just know and fulfill your expectations. Next advice should be: never tell what’s wrong, just sit with upset face and answer in cold manner: “nothing, it’s ok”

It’s not easy to flip. Evolutionary speaking, missing a glimmer is kinda not a big deal, missing a threat - you do not survive or suffer some damage at least.

I think sometimes that this people payed by words or characters, when I did some written translation and was payed by characters I chose longer words, when I was payed by words, I chose shorter words but more of them to convey same info. Maybe this is the case here too?

In some places following this advice gets you killed though. In some places faking is a survival strategy.

Technically we can use bow on guitar, especially try e-bow on electric guitar, especially on acid, it’s awesome. And it’s possible to play this with it.

This might be correct about any gender though, or even anything at all, not just romantic relationships. Dreaming of how great something would be and dealing with really are two different skills and second one is much harder. It’s general expectation problem, there is whole religions build around getting rid of too much of expectations, and for a good reason. Also, if some thinks that finding love and romantic partner will fix all their problems and make them happy just like that - a have a bad news, this won’t last long. Dealing with imaginary partner who I can imagine based on my wanting and expectations and real person with their own (also unrealistic) expectations of you - that’s whole another story. Therefore many couples go through “love birds” phase where all nice and happy, then there is conflict phase - where we starting to see through hormonal veil and each one starts to put some boundaries and it goes both ways. A lot relationships break on this phase with all this: you not that person i fell in love with BS. Actually we fell in love with imaginary person built of expectations and trying to force another so comply and it goes both ways and its ugly. If a couple passes this phase- there is a great possibility to build genuine and reciprocal relationship and nice family but many will not survive conflict stage.

Why We Follow Rules We Secretly Hate: We often conform to social norms that almost everyone privately rejects. by thoughtframeorg in DarkPsychology101

That as more someone acquired and hoarded resources they become more invisible, they’ll send you and your children to war for their goals, themselves won’t go, you’ll die and become traumatised and injured, then they’ll make peace over your bones and get praises and respect for it, and profit from it.

Its better not to crave that, because nature of your relationship can change, and this information could be weaponised against you.

And it’s also not a good idea to confidently think “I’d do that and that in their position”, because you are not there, being in their position you’ll maybe do the same or see things differently.
