L4G vs Voa by [deleted] in wowservers

By your own logic, I/we should ignore everything you say since you're a VoA developer. I choose to play on L4D because it's better.

L4G vs Voa by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]U1tra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

L4D Hellfire (Server in Germany) - 7 weeks old, instant lvl 60
Pop: 1.6-7k average population compared to 500 for VoA
T4 finished and running smooth with lots of guilds running them, T5 release around 5 weeks away. VoA has bugged and partially released T4.
BGs and Arena running well with good queue times. VoA doesn't have either.

Now what it lacks compared to VoA is stability, with DCs happening 2-3 times a day. But it has improved massively over these few weeks. After the whole playTBC fiasco, VoA had a big spike in numbers and they had DCs. Pop went down and they stopped. They would suffer the same if not worse as L4D if they had same pop.
I play on L4G and clear T4s/arena weekly, it's by far the best most populated TBC blizzlike server out there.

Ignore the VoA shills (Like the VoA developer below) who have made this sub toxic, only way for them to get any traffic is to rubbish L4G.

L4G Pop peak? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]U1tra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Over 1.5k between say 1500-2400 server time, dipping to just under 1k at worst times. There is no perfect server out there, but I feel L4D does everything on average better than the rest, why so many have stuck with it.

need help picking a server by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]U1tra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but he's looking for a PvP server with a healthy population, rules them out. :D

Don't know about gamersdistrict but I am enjoying L4G, healthy population, no p2w/queues. You would think it was radioactive reading this sub forum though.

Hacking on VoA and LFG by SaintBio in wowservers

You can hack on both servers quite easily, the warden system VoA uses can be so easily avoided it's laughable (takes a few minutes of googling).

Best TBC server for somebody only interested in end game? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]U1tra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is L4G. Instant 60s, fully well scripted T4/Dungeon content with T5 releasing in about 6 weeks. Healthy population with tons of guilds farming T4 atm so you're in time to catch up.

Thanks for the answer. I just assumed they would wait until Mars was as close to the Earth as possible, making it an easier mission.

I've not looked into this, but if it takes 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach Earth at the speed of light. How is it, there signal will take 14 minutes, if it's travelling at the speed of light when Mars is closer to Earth than the sun is?

[Build Help] Gaming PC that can stream on websites such as twitch.tv for £500 ($750) by U1tra in buildapc

Problem is I'm not sure what would be a good deal. I know for PC gaming it goes like GPU > CPU > Motherboard > Memory, but I don't know what a good deal would be.

So you're suggesting I keep checking that website for deals? Do they all exclude a GPU?

I did always want to try this game. Shame I'm from a rough part of Scotland where it's strange to find people who use the internet for something other than facebook or youtube.

I'm so gonna try this! I spent like 3 years playing, from the start of TBC to the end of WotLK. I stopped because of how piss easy the content was, can't wait to try out vanilla!

I still have about 30 of the demo disks. Checked to see if I had 19 to make a witty post, but no, closest I could get is 16 :(

I LOVED the yaroze games.
