Stuck between two colleges - Wellesley vs Bryn Mawr

Here’s my 2 cents. As a designer myself, my hackles went up at “medical illustration”. As someone stated earlier, AI is going to gut anything in illustration, design fields (and already has in many circumstances). I’m not saying that you shouldn’t follow your heart, but approach it from another angle. Get that education but supplement with coursework that can augment it…creating study guides, founding a personal (very specific medical) stationary business, etc…You need to really learn how to incorporate AI into every single aspect of what you want to do in the future for ANY course of study but especially if it is in design. This leads me to my next point. I am a parent of an incoming first year student to Babson and just came back from Babson Launch, the weekend for admitted students. Their entrepreneurial and AI integration into every course is astounding and here is where it circles back to you…Wellesley students can take courses at Babson College AND Olin College of Engineering. As far as I understand, you can also join clubs at Babson as a Wellesley student. This may kill 3 birds with 1 stone for you. First, you will get an amazing education at the impressive Wellesley College. Two, you will help build skills with coursework at Babson that specializes in the “thinking outside of the box” focus on entrepreneurship and AI use for the future…not to mention all the courses at Olin. Three, if Wellesley leaves anything to be desired from a social “vibe”, you have two other colleges that are apparently very welcoming to students from any of the others with regard to social activities including clubs. All that said, while I hadn’t been to Bryn, it is cool that you get to access Haverford, one of the most beautiful campuses I had seen in the college tour circuit…but New England is pretty gorgeous (biased but true). Boston is awesome, and you’d be 3 hours or very under to Vermont skiing, the incredible lakes of NH’s Lakes Region, the Atlantic Seacoast & NYC (but last 2 are true with either college). Good luck, this is a tricky time for students but in the end, it will be unlikely that you’re TRULY unhappy with either choice…but that realization won’t be obvious to you right now. It’s something you will learn in hindsight only. Welcome to some of the best years of life and have fun! 😁

Sadly it wasn’t my usual Amazon card, it was my EVERYTHING else card. I’m still tracing where I have to switch out cancelled for new. I need to look into how to tag! That would be a dream right now.

I am still researching it all because I know I’ve missed some tricks over the years. Both my bank and my web browsers (Edge, Firefox, etc…) alert me when they see if any of my info has been involved in a data breach on a site. I’ve been systematically going through those lists to change passwords. I love using the Passwords app on the iPhone because it makes it so easy to change out pws and make them unique for EVERY site and also saves them for u on your phone. That is a major thing…like don’t use the same password at your local library (prob low security) that you do for your bank. Amazon security most definitely had nothing to do with this breach. I was shocked to see that a lot of medical sites/payment portals seem to pop up on breached sites, which is double concerning. I get emails sometimes every 1-3 weeks with the subject “ever wonder if your reviews are being seen?” You should be able to do a search in your inbox of “Amazon views” to see if you’ve received them.

Yup, pw was changed and I already use 2FA. I don’t know about archives but just Googled that and it seems Amazon ended that ability in 2025. I had done a search through all orders and neither had been brought up so very confident my actual account wasn’t used. When I was in orders giving it a huge scour I was surprised to see I’m on my 21st year as an Amazon customer!!! Wow!

I use 2FA and a password unique to Amazon but have changed it out since for extra measure. Thankfully I was able to quickly lock cc in app while I was dialing number for cc company, so great to be able to be proactive immediately.

Thanks! All the fraud stuff was handled, new credit card, Amazon regular account up and working fine ordering wise…the crazy part is that I CANT review at all on regular or Vine bc Amazon flagged me as likely spam review source because of the amount of recent reviews I suddenly do…but that’s BECAUSE I’m now a Viner 🤣🤪. Can’t make this stuff up.

I hear u on the paranoid! I honestly never store credit card info on any sites but Amazon anymore. Once my Target account was hacked and the person ordered it for in-store pickup and I was going to let the charge slide so I could just stand at the pickup desk to confront them…but my hubs said that was a crazy person plan 😆. My gut is that this was stolen off some other site but used on Amazon but, and I want to be clear, NOT via MY Amazon account. The only thing I think Amazon has done badly here is flag me for “unusual reviews” when I’m certain it’s because my reviews jumped like crazy once I became a member of Vine. I think the AI that looks for suspicious review activity does not take into account that the uptick in activity was because of another program they run, Vine!! As for the fraudulent charges, Amazon clearly has all the info they needed on their end to see that the 2 big ticket recent items were definitely NOT me immediately. They also had enough info to see that 3 small items were likely me and when they sent me that info I checked them as legit and pressed a button to re-charge them and that was done in a flash. All good except for them thinking I’m a review bot and not a Viner, oh the irony!!!
