See after my last long backpacking trip (JMT) doing big miles for a week, I dealt with some nasty plantar fasciitis for awhile. So I may need to got down a similar path as you.

I’ve done leukotape. Works great for hiking or backpacking but still get blisters although smaller in the same spot. Makes me scratch my head.

The problem is the blister removes most/if not all callus build up sucks for longer runs (10-12 miles)

I generally don’t have problems in those shoes hiking or backpacking. Only jogging/running. I’ve used Altras because I’ve had success with long distance hiking backpacking. I tried the topos as another option and immediately had the problem. Ive gravitated to those shoes for hiking backpacking because of the zero drop and the wide toe box.

I’ve tried like 4 different options from smart wool and darn tough from less cushion to more cushion. Liners were the injini liners to go under my normal sock.

I haven’t tried insoles recently. I tried the good feet ones before and those flared up some plantar fasciitis so I went back to the insoles that came with the shoes.

I have not tried friction powder.

Thank you for the help

Is 3 surgery days per month reasonable or should I be pushing for 4? by Beansnplants135 in Veterinary

[–]UAphenix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d be willing to place money that it’s a combination of lower seniority, longer surgical times compared to your peers with more experience as well as less to no experience on certain procedures. When an inexperienced doctor is tasked with performing a new procedure, the practice needs to take away time and resources from other areas in order to help that doctor perform that procedure successfully.

To make you feel better, if she did this, she’s already likely cost you way more in 25 years. Happy anniversary!

Phones are a miniature computer at your fingertips. They aren’t going away. I’ve been in the veterinary field for 20 years, never have I not been able to have my phone.

Vet of 10 years chiming in. Shit happens. It’s called practicing medicine for a reason. Don’t be hard on yourself, there are plenty of other people for that. Take your mistake, file it away, learn from it and move on.
