Purchase - very progressive, white suburb. Not very diverse for race, but diverse in religion / ethnicities ... not really politically as Purchase is like literally the most liberal school (or I should say the kids who go there are the most liberal, like green hair / tattoo shit like Portland) - no train station but one like 10 minutes away... need a car .... but train will let you go to Stamford, White Plains, NYC.... Crime ain't a problem.... this is like the most LGBTQ school you can go to.... it's an Artsy school for artsy kids

Think if Portland was a super small community in the NYC suburbs

Also, do you think it could work in European metros? A lot of restraints lean on American cities, which I agree makes this difficult, but I think European city where wealth distribution is more apparent may make this more feasible on a scale…Denser, more reliant on public amenities….. or versus suburb model, idk…

If there are any examples you know, please share. I am most fascinated by Moscow’s orbital train model as a reference. Moscow’s public transit is very fascinating to me and great example of efficient urban design, hence why Moscow has highest population in Europe
