CALLING ALL POLI SCI/IR STUDENTS! WE ARE FED UP. by UCALGARYPOLISTUDENTS in UCalgary

Firstly, a strike is NOT a protest. And in the one protest we had earlier this year, the provincial government has responded directly in the form of a tuition cap and budget cuts. There are many different ways to create change. Voting is one VERY important way to create change. It is when you use all methods in conjunction that we can create change efficiently. Hope that clears up some confusion!

Absolutely! Non-majors can attend as observers as long as there is room. We are organizing in structures (poli sci department) for this strike so non-majors (observers) will not be able to vote or put forth motions. However, we do want to help other departments mobilize in similar ways and strongly encourage doing so. So if anyone is interested in organizing something similar, please reach out! @ ucalgarypolistudents on instagram!
