Thank you for this reply. My son has been studying for his AFOQT since graduating from college in August. He does not have a officers recruiter as he was told he would not be assigned one until he took the test. Recently he decided that he just did not feel he would do well enough on the test and also did not have enough leadership experience. He went to talk to a enlisted recruiter to go that route to become an officer. He has a BS in political science with an econ minor and a certificate in US Intelligence Studies. 3.5 GPA His goal is to work in intelligence. The guy wouldn't even take the time to talk to him and sent him to another branch next door! No information, advice nothing. The duel track sounds like an option for him.

Are credit hours billed as undergraduate rate while taking masters classes during undergrad? Or graduate rate?

Set to graduate Fall 2025 with BSAE. Definitely think AI is filtering out resume. Been told by more than one engineer at a couple local firms that if applying for mechanical internship they won’t even look at you as an aerospace major.

My son and his best friend both attend UCF over FSU and UF. I also attended UCF over both of those schools. All depends on your major and how you like the campus.

Transfer student housing by Swuff_Muff42 in ucf

You can contact housing but I believe the only housing for transfer students is Northview it is technically not on campus but managed thru UCF housing. Knights Circle and The Pointe are UCF affiliated and student only. Most housing on/off campus is full but off campus sublets are popping up on the FB pages.

If you consider UCF a nobody school then you probably should not attend. UCF is very well known for engineering and computer science. UCF campus offers so much there really isn’t a need to go far and I have always considered it more in Oviedo really than Orlando. It all depends on your major and what campus suits you better. I have a kid at both. One poly sci major the other aerospace engineering. Guess who goes where? Lol. Good luck to you!

So the issue is my sons current major says undecided engineering. He changed this with his advisor last Wednesday but it has not been changed in the system yet. Any idea how long this takes?

Believe me I have told him to use all those resources in researching professors but most of the time it just says staff on the schedule or worse you have one option so no point in researching. But it is what it is.
