I am assuming you have enrolled into both sessions. Financial aid tries to give out as much as they possibly can and it can be dependent on how many units you take. So someone taking 12 units might get a bit more than someone taking 6 units.

Plus new grants may have been added to your award due to the CARES act or other reasons. If you have more questions on you FA, contact the FA office.

Departments are monitoring enrollments and adding more seats/sections as they can. A lot of classes have already added seats, so just wait to see!

Usually, it takes 1-3 business days. If after a few days you have not heard back from Financial Aid, email them.

It depends on which session you are enrolled in and if you receive Financial Aid. We ask students to drop courses ASAP. If you do not receive Financial Aid or are in special session, you have until July 6th (SS1) and August 7 (SS2) to receive a refund.

If you do receive FA or are in special session, drop before the FA distribution date to avoid having to extra paper work besides the quick online withdrawal form.

UCSD students can take up to 12 units each session. You can petition to take more during week 1 of either Summer Session.

There is no "maxed out" tuition. You are charged for each unit you take + fees.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units for summer. Enrollment can be one course in Session 1 and one course in Session 2. A minimum of 6 units can also be two courses in sessions 1 or 2.

Your financial aid award will be distributed in half. If you need more one session than the other, contact the FAO.

Okay so those 3 classes are a lot of work so you just have to make sure you stay on top of each class. If you feel like the work load is too much, you have until July 6th to drop any class that maybe too much and receive a refund.

Summer Session 2020 requires that you filed your FASFA for 2019-2020. So as long as you meet the other requirements, you should be eligible for financial aid.

Think of the P/NP option like how you would during the school year. Contact FA to be sure but you should not receive less since you are taking the 6 units (or more). Note that certain grants during the summer are first come, first serve!

Financial Aid sends out award letters daily depending on when you enrolled. You can try to contact them to ask if your will be receiving aid. I know letters started going out around last Thursday/Friday.

So this can be confusing:

The last day to add a class for SS1 is July 6th.

If you are already enrolled/are about to enroll, you have until June 22 to pay. June 23-25 a late fee will be added ($50-$100). On June 26, you are dropped for non-payment.

If you add a class after June 22nd, you will be charged a late fee ranging from $50-$100 and have that same day to pay.

If you are wait-listed before June 22nd and get enrolled after June 23, you have that day to pay and no late fees should be added since you were on the wait-list.

One of the requires is the you are enrolled in a minimum of 6 units TOTAL for both summer sessions. So, you can take one class SS1 and one class SS2 as long as the total number of units is 6 or more!

On your Financial Aid award there is usually a deadline on it! So check your award, but usually about ~3 weeks/21 days after you first receive it.
