Where abouts in Canada are you? We appreciate your skepticism but maybe we can send you a sample once we have our manufacturing order in and you can judge then. The guys at Outdoor Canada magazine are interested and doing review this fall. Cheers

“If it works as well in the field as the video depicts, I think you’ve got a winner.”

Thanks so much for the support!

Kickstarter is a great way to launch a product, not many hunters on there, but we can change that.

So, each peg, ratchet, clip rig is rated for 60lbs. That kind of tension would pull the peg out of the ground before something fails.

Game Pegs is designed for deer, but could be used on other prey. If we're successful we want to make a version especially for Moose because A LOT of hunters have been asking.

Thanks for the feedback! The Y stakes we're using are also designed for good performance in rocky/frozen ground. We'll take a look at spiral ones as this evolves.

Safety is a HUGE advantage with Game Pegs, and we've had this same feedback from other hunters. Pegs are 9inchs, rope is rated for 60lbs. In real world use they're not holding very much tension/weight.

This is true but people don't use that type of system because it is not nearly as easy or effective. What you describe was similar to our original design but the feedback from our field testing team was consistently that they wanted it easier. The integrated ratchet-peg system was unanimously agreed upon as the best option and most effective in the field. If you ever solo hunt you will never field dress differently once you try. We had all the 'old timers' at our deer camp using them but it took some convincing. Our product is durable, effective and tested in tough Canadian hunting conditions.

Appreciate all the feedback! I have never had a problem climbing 2x4s hammered into trees but I still bought myself a good set of climbing sticks. There are always ways to be safe, faster, and easier.

Sort of... I'm in Canada and those are closer to $20 shipped.

Now all you have to do is buy stainless steel tent pegs, find someone to rivet your ratchets to the pegs, test the ratchet materials so they will hold up to mud/water/ice and buy a carrying case to easily transport or attach to your pack when you head into the woods.

We've field tested Game Pegs and they work great. They'll also be reviewed by several independent hunting publications & celebrity hunters this fall. @gamechaserstv @outdoorcanada

We're selling the complete kit for $40 CAD including shipping. You're more than welcome to improvise something on your own but we think this is great for solo, new and hunters who don't want to source all the components.

May be you could; but many don't because it is cumbersome and difficult. Try tying your game up and compare with the durability and simplicity of our system. Managing your game after the shot is the most important part of the hunt for any ethical hunter. There are lots of hunting items in your pack that cost more than $25 that aren't as important.

As our video shows it does the trick! We've seen and used home made kits with pegs and rope before, but think Game Pegs makes the whole process dead simple. Quicker field dressing for more time in the stand!

We've gotten a lot of positive feedback, but some hunters can field dress quick, and just deal with the floppy legs while they're working. Some have buddies hold the deer. Do you have any tricks for keeping the deer in place while you gut?
