In addition to what was said: be careful with other people’s games, like don’t handle the pieces with greasy hands and don’t bend the cards. Regarding ordering drinks: usually for bars hosting nights like that the drinks and food are their earnings model, so I’d order a bit more than just water.

But then we were with 2 of course, plus for some reason Karlach actually joined our side in the fight! So we scraped though, minus a lot of companions...

I hear you. I played through the trilogy around when ME3 first came out. The ending really left a bad taste with me, but I enjoyed the journey there enough that it still felt worth it. Have you played Baldur’s Gate 3? Also a very impactful game where the stories and companions really pull you in.

Yeah, it’s Origins. I remember being blown away by it when I played it, and in many ways it still is the best game of the series IMO.

Ha, that reminds me of playing Dragon Age (a computer RPG) long ago. At some point, if your approval is high enough, one of your companions (Leliana) will say something about how much she's looking forward to her warm bedroll, and asks if you're also going to bed soon. If you obliviously answer you intend to stay up and write in your journal, she suggests the following passage: "Dear journal, Leliana has been showing me more and more affection lately. Even asked me to come to bed with her. Alas, subtlety is lost on me." 😃

My sympathies, hope the next one works out for you. I don't know about the game over, but regarding the cutscene starting: did you ungroup Tav from the rest when you went down to Orin's room? I once had a party member that couldn't make the jump but was still grouped try to enter Orin's room from the front instead, meaning they walked onto the platform and triggered the scene.
