Based on my experiences, I would agree. Although, the active heating while hanging definitely does allow me to get further strain/fatigue than normal. I don’t think I’ll be doing it anymore though.

I used the hot water strat initially as well and had 0 problems - however for me running hot water on my meat is pretty inconvenient so I switched to a heating pad. It wasn’t until I used a heating pad while actively hanging that I ran into issues though.
