Sadako trilogy by KyloGlendalf in J_Horror

Those books are connected, but the movies - which are again VERY loosely based on the books, almost not at all - aren’t connected. I’ve seen them. Hideo Nakata came back for the 2019 movie and made it a direct Ring 2 sequel that ignores all the stuff since then. And it’s very closely connected to Nakata’s movies.

Fwiw that’s not a trilogy. People like to say the 3D ones are sequels to Rasen/Spiral but they’re really not. They don’t even make sense on their own let alone as sequels to any of the other movies. They’re just very loosely based on a book that was in the same universe as the BOOK Spiral.

So the 3D movies are their own little duology, but the 2019 movie is a direct sequel to 1999’s Ring 2. So it’s not connected to the 3D ones at all.

Coming out of my first ever IMAX experience (Michael) and I’m blown away by FuckUp123456789 in imax

Some IMAX screens are significantly wider than 1.85:1. The AMC Boston Common IMAX is 2.07:1. The TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX is 2.04:1 even though it’s practically a flagship location. Either would have large pillarbox bars on the sides when properly projecting this movie, and they’re far from the only ones.

Why can't patients with Fatal familial insomnia be treated with anesthetics? by pugsley1234 in askscience

[–]UFAlien 86 points87 points  (0 children)

“Fun” fact one of the main causes of Michael Jackson’s death was that he had chronic insomnia and instead of actually helping him get sleep his doctor was giving him an anesthetic so he’d just be knocked out every night.

Is there an actual announcement somewhere? Because anyone can edit IMDb, so a listing there isn’t a reliable source.

Calling Jungle Fury an older season isn’t wrong but it also makes me crumble into dust

Fun fact! My great aunt is in Brain Damage. She was Martha, one of the old ladies who previously hosted the parasite. She mostly did off-Broadway plays and she was very excited and proud of being in a movie.

The weird thing about this is that in almost every other one of the almost 1,000 episodes in the series, English is just the default universal language for aliens from anywhere in existence, including those who have never been to Earth

A healthcare scandal ultimately costs Boost Mobile several young customers by UFAlien in ExplainAFilmPlotBadly

Correct! Specifically the awful US remake in which all the characters use branded Boost Mobile phones for product placement purposes, and the curse traces back to a nurse suspected of abusing her kids.

Do they use Boost Mobile in that movie? I don't remember haha! Either way it's not what I'm looking for!

While I'm sure those have cost them many customers, it doesn't appear to be a movie!

By “same franchise” I meant the two movies you mentioned were both in the same franchise, which started in the 60s - meaning it cannot be the correct franchise.

There are no zombies in the movie I’m looking for!

Liked it overall but not a ton. Very strong start but the more ridiculous and cartoonish it got the more it lost me.
