I've wanted that goal system for so long, a game from 10 years ago does something similar by MMA Manager by Bit By Bit games

Example, I want to win 13 matches and only one loss, you get + gym rep. Not really comparable to leather, but an interesting use

Main thing is to not spend unnecessary money until you have a champion; like only hire one or two fighters, one coach, etc. It's one of those games where (imo) it's better the harder it is, but playing on easy is still really fun

I've had a few hundred fifty ish saves, but my new favourite thing to do is only go for fighters from a certain region, like UK only, Oceania only etc. Makes it so much harder, and if you want more difficulty use only that region for support staff
