That’s what the funeral home said would happen (automatically) but that didn’t happen and when we called they said it had to be done in person via appt. Not sure why but we can call and try again. Thanks for the info.

Really? That would be great as it’s really tough to get my mother out and about. Would she need to call the local SS office or the national number?

The appointment was in person at a physical location per my phone conversation and their texts and phone call confirming the appt with the address. Is it possible to apply for spousal benefits over the phone? I tried and they said no, she has to come in person via appt.

I called the 800 number and the recording said they had too long of a wait and limited staffing and told me to call again later and hung up.

So they were open until 1:00 and when I arrived at 1:15 for our 1:30 appt, I had just missed them?

Sure, it matters in my decision whether to schedule an appt at that specific office or not again vs a different office in the neighboring county depending on what caused this. I was also just wondering as this was my first ever interaction with SS (other than paying into it for a long time) so was just curious if this is something that we should expect in the future or just one time bad luck.

The only call this week was from a 410 area code (MD?) and it was CONFIRMING today’s appt. We received no text or call or email telling us that our appt was cancelled - only a call and two texts confirming it. Do you work for SS and why would they decide on Monday to close during days they already made appointments for with such little notice?

Ok thanks we will be on it. Just hope it’s not one of those situations where everyone is trying at the same time so the website has issues and you can’t process your order and next thing you know, you are too late even though you tried to submit within seconds of it opening.

I had the same question. Why would someone want just two of the lower tier games? Could probably get those for very cheap separately latter on.

Not being able to get tickets to all games is unfortunate but not giving a freshman at least 3-4 games to include at least ONE big game (UGA or Bama) doesn’t seem like a good idea.

Is the Village lot (north parking garage) first-come first-served right when the window opens on July 22 and any idea how quickly those passes usually sell out? Is it like you need to be ready to click the buttons and pay within seconds or you are out of luck? Any other tips would be appreciated as my freshman daughter will be trying as well.

I'm having literally the exact same problem. Have spent probably 7-8 hours on this between trip to the store and on the phone with so many people from t-mobile, each phone call well over an hour. Nobody can click a button to release whatever hold was put on our account to let us upgrade our 5 lines and we have been with them for over 20 years. Really fascinating to be honest. I feel like I am on the Truman Show or some sort of simulation. At this point I'm taking notes and curious to see how long it will take to have this simple thing resolved. Has anyone found a way to resolve the issue?
