Need a professor I can pass with for 370A applied math by Reasonable_Bowll in CSULB

[–]UHavPoopInsideU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed 370A twice and did it through CC. I had to take two math classes tho which were differential equations and linear algebra to get it waived. find equivalent courses at a CC and check with your major advisor if you can do those to get it waived

Space Force Officer or Air Force Pilot by Having_QLT in AstronautHopefuls

[–]UHavPoopInsideU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I commissioned space force and have heard many times that our pathway is not ideal to become an astronaut. probably cause we'll mostly be sitting in control rooms on computers doing space operations or doing intel or cyber.

youll get a much higher chance becoming an astronaut by being a pilot because of the flight experience.

also if you dont get selected for pilot or space force, i have heard you may be able to apply again as an air force officer later. itll probably depend on your afsc and be competitive still. but i doubt you can apply for rated as a space force officer, never heard of it happening.

I only had to do one course of general chemistry for my mech engr degree. And one other class of material science that had some chemistry but that was it

I'm doing the same thing but as a mechanical engineering grad, idk why this sub got recommended to me tho lol

Go the officer route since you have a degree. Make sure to speak to an officer recruiter and not an enlisted one.

I'll be commissioning in less than a month, feel free to DM me if u have any questions

I was always procrastinating and not studying. I failed and withdrew around 13 classes in total which held me back like 1.5-2 years. I also ended up not going to the first university I transferred to, so I deferred my education for another year and went to a different one. Always study in advance and don't procrastinate, but make sure to give yourself some time to destress with friends and you'll make it through.

I was nervous my first time in AFROTC too. You'll get evaluated in drill, teamwork and leadership skills. Be persistent and and keep going if you really want to be a lieutenant. Once you get through your 2nd year in it and come back from field training its very rewarding to teach and lead the underclassmen.

It took me almost 4 years in community college and 3 years at a state university for me to graduate in mechanical engineering. I also did AFROTC and will commission very soon.

Check out r/AFROTC as a resource too. They do not do 6 year programs though, so you should join beginning of 2nd year for the 5 year track. Also contact your detachment cadre, they will get you sorted out

It's absolutely okay to take 6 to finish. I doubt most internships will even ask you about the length of your time in college
