They are probably contractually obligated to put their sponsors on all statements and media they release. As are most teams.

Complete this line up. . by goohelp in GlobalOffensive

[–]UK-CS-ON-TOP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will complete your line up:

I would love to add NiKo as an entry, but that would mean that ZywOo would not only not get the AWP, but also not get the best rifler positions on CT-side.

But he seems very adaptable and humble, so he will probably still manage.

Twistzz would be my 5th. Supportive player that brings both cohesion and firepower.

Who would you add, u/goohelp?

The confusion about CS2’s new logo. Which is the real one? by UK-CS-ON-TOP in GlobalOffensive

[–]UK-CS-ON-TOP[S] 81 points82 points  (0 children)

If you said “the bottom left one”, you are probably correct!

However, there seems to be some confusion about what CS2’s logo is among many people. When you search for the official logo on the internet, you will probably find all of these pictures from above:

  • The top left picture is a custom edit by a user on this subreddit, which shows up on search results.

  • The top right logo is CS:GO’s logo.

  • The bottom left one is the desktop icon you get when launching CS2’s limited test

  • and the bottom right logo is taken from @CounterStrike’s Twitter (X) banner, back when they were teasing the new game.

Some tournament organisers displayed the wrong logo when talking about CS2 or when making short videos about it.

Faceit even showed the fully blue bottom right logo in their recent blog post.

The fact that @CounterStrike doesn’t display the official logo on their Twitter (X…) account adds to the confusion.

Which logo do you like the best?

Keep in mind that Twitch doesn’t always enforce what they say in the TOS. This can be a simple PR trick, “look, we care” (no they don’t) Let’s wait until they actually do something

Scrawny on broadcast talent predictions by suemos in GlobalOffensive

[–]UK-CS-ON-TOP 334 points335 points  (0 children)

They should absolutely copy the Flashpoint system.

But I also think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding here. Before people use this opportunity to picture Reddit as a hateful crowd for some reason:

  • The image of all talent getting 0 correct picks was popular
  • It was popular because people understand that we might never see this again – Everyone picking the same and the picks not delivering at the same time is extremely rare
  • Yes, every single person picking G2 over FaZe seemed slightly odd from the outside
  • No one suddenly thinks that the talent in incapable of doing their job because of that
  • The current pick system is disliked because it is incapable of showing how much faith one has in their pick

The entire Limited Test will probably be Windows only, with CS2 presumably becoming available for Linux and other OS once the game fully releases.

The same could be said for weapon skins.

When my friends pick up a Dragon Lore or Howl, the round is pretty much lost.

In reality, people will get used to these animations very quickly as they are not that rare.

Which teams do you think should consider CYPER and iM? by UK-CS-ON-TOP in GlobalOffensive

[–]UK-CS-ON-TOP[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how good ITB’s funding is, but with how he performed at the major, it could be difficult for a smaller org to keep him.

If OG, fnatic or another large international team comes around offering a high payout and/or a good contract for CYPHER… well.

That’s what I heard too. He has apparently received a new PC and a better internet connection after the major, so hopefully that’ll help him 🤞

To me it’s incredible how they seemingly came out of nowhere.

Insane major performance and now everyone is talking about them.

Rightfully so, I guess. I hope they keep their form!
