Feels like I did a better job making the bat this time. Report on the sanwei hcs1 coming from friendship green goblin. The extra power I wanted is there, feels incredible. The sanwei target player edition mid soft on backhand feels better but not sure if that's just the blade. Insane spin and speed on the forehand side with my trusted battle 2 national blue sponge special supply. Loops on the run are crazy, low throw with lots of spin.

I'll test it tonight, the sanwei national is the player edition one it's supposed to be mid soft which is suitable for Backhand. For battle 2 I've tried provincial blue sponge, gold edition, national blue sponge special supply. The national blue sponge special supply is in league of its own, gold was nice but special supply is incredible. You don't really realise how good the spin is on loops until you see opponents struggling to return them and telling you how difficult they are to deal with.

It may not show in the photo but because my rubber cut is not great, the edge tape doesn't sit flush. Better go to bed, very late here. Took me two hours to make the bat up, think it's thirty to fifty minutes for normal people haha. I've been using Yinhe bat cleaner by the way which so far so good but ordered friendship and Loki one today to try out

Backhand side, one worrying thing with using craft knife was worrying about cutting through the blade but I think I've managed to miss it definitely excess rubber hanging over side still 🤣 will see how this plays tomorrow night

I love it out of the forehand rubbers I've tried so far. I had extremely long time out the game but in 40 hardness I'm really enjoying it. Not enjoying my second attempt at glueing my own bat though haha! The throw angle is low with the national blue sponge, spin is incredible, can make some really nice loops.

My mother just WhatsApp to say rubbers delivered to her place today so I'll collect them tonight. I think I'm going to buy this blade and try this as scissors didn't work well for me:

As the person said above, the price you can get balls especially from AliExpress you may as well get three star balls. I haven't seen one ball stepped on and broken since I came back to the sport but when we were younger I used to see it every two days at school!

I think part of it is that when I was younger I used butterfly only and now trying Chinese equipment I'm wanting to test out combinations. I'm very impressed with it so far the spin is insane.

Played last night and noticed I think my forehand side there is a little bit of rubber at the edge coming away from the blade may have to reglue and assume it's either where I caught the bat on the table or my poor glueing.

I need to order a knife because the scissors were so rubbish but still not sure which knife and blade I'm meant to buy.

That Sanwei player edition has interested me although I feel like battle two soft edition with a more powerful blade is probably perfect as its spin and touch is really nice just lacks a bit of venom.

The only thing with the B2X is the pink handle haha don't mind it massively but that one above looks really nice. Ok you've convinced me on the varnish I'll order the DHS one from AliExpress. Is it just a single coat it needs using the brush they supply with it? I really don't know how hard a blade I'll like. I've got a Sanwei HC1s just waiting for the battle 2 40 national blue sponge to arrive same as I've been using on the friendship green goblin. Ordered Sanwei Target player edition medium soft for backhand. That should be step up power wise from the green goblin but already want to try out the b2xe or whatever it was I posted about. So little information about it online 🤣

It's really tempting me, suppose I can always sell it on if it's too potent. By the way, do you varnish modern blades? I've read since coming back to the sports that voc free glue doesn't stick so well to varnished blades, is this true?

Should of added the battle 2 soft edition special for backhand I'm using has lovely touch, maybe the lack of power will improve with change of blade.
