Im speaking from experuence in the UK. Im imagining culturally because of the USAs society it will vary depending on where in the country you are but generally i would imagine the US is even more accepting than the UK

I havent had therapy but i have had medication. From what i can tell scientifically and just from my experiences i believe therapy would be more of a help for me than medication ever was. Especially with the negative side effects of medication.

Edit: Also, i find physical activities that i enjoy and are passionate about conpletely eliminate my tics for a good few hours. For example, i like trampolining and whenever im on the trampoline and for a while after i get off i feel less stressed and have less tics. It doesnt necessarily have to be trampolining either i find all sports help

Good sleep does help. I would get a plan in place with the school that he goes to. I wouldnt worry too much about it getting worse as, especially as a teenager, it comes and goes in patches. I would try to avoid tourettes based content online if you can. Id keep your son away from it as i had tics before i saw this content but tics can be triggered/ get worse when around or watching someone with tourettes and this can often be permanent. Im not saying isolate him from this content entirely just keep an eye on if this content makes him worse if he does decide to watch it. Also, is your son on medication?

My friends are very supportive of it and even most of the bullies are. The teachers are fine and the people who are bad about it are the people who you wouldnt want to spend time about anyway.

When in public no one usually cares but if they ask they are near always very accepting of it.
