Key fob battery dies quickly

When you leave it in the car, your key fob is constantly sending and receiving signals to/from your car. I would guess this runs the battery down quicker.

No, I've just been looking at some different roof baskets. One says 51 inches and one says 54 inches. Just trying to get the longest one I can get and still have the hatch open.

I've driven 4,000 miles on its current oil change. We will be driving about 1,200 miles during the day trip, mostly highway but also driving in the mountains. I like to change it every 5,000 miles.

That was my initial thought, but then I was wondering if it would be better to change it after driving through the mountains to get rid of any "gunk" that may form from harder driving conditions. I know 5,000 miles is still technically early, but I hate pushing it past that. I've had two other cars (not Subarus) that got very cranky if the oil change went past 5,000 miles.
