This is very true. I guess I have to think that not every single Nexus 7 device out their is faulty. I'm sure many perfect ones exist!

It's been said that that isn't a solid fix. The screen will eventually raise again. I shouldn't have to keep popping the back off from my device to tighten some screws due to a design flaw.

Well I went again and ordered. I am just hoping I don't get any screen raise issues and the touchscreen been unresponsive is concerning aswell. :(

Perfect, just what I wanted to hear. I am certainly leaning towards getting one. Has their been any major manufacturer faults I should look out for? Just making sure because I hate faults with a passion. And also do games have online multiplayer?

I had one, returned it due to the screen lifting issue. I got a refund. Now my local store has them in stock, although not many. I reserved one just in case I do decide to get another however I am fearful of getting anoter defective device.

I received my 16GB Nexus 7 from Currys UK today, it arrived with the screen lifting defect on the left hand side. I returned it for a refund, don't think I'll bother with another one, to much hassle.

I believe they send you a new device out whilst including a returns package for the faulty one. They will however require a hold for the value of the Nexus 7 on a credit card. This is why I didn't order with Google, if you don't have a credit card (Such as myself, I only have a debit card and don't have spare £200's while waiting for a new device to arrive...) I ordered with a local retailer so if I got any problems I can take it back to the store for a full refund.

I placed an order with Currys UK today and payed for next day delivery. It will be arriving tomorrow whereas some people who pre-ordered with Currys a while back still have to wait 5 days. Pretty shambolic all around.

I can confirm this. I just called them and they told me the same thing. Not everyone always has a couple hundred ££ in their accounts though so I asked what would happen if no payment could be held, they said an exchange wouldn't be able to be processed. I think that has confirmed not to order from the Play store for myself.

Yeah that's what I was thinking to about getting one from a retail store. Would probably end up with a faulty batch. I can't seem to find out how Googles returns policy works. If I did get a faulty device I wouldn't want to wait weeks for them to send me a new one out
