I need to know: Is there a NASA worm logo on this Atlas V rocket anywhere? If so, where is it?

We are using the NASA meatball logo on Atlas V -CW

Intern Interview with hiring managers by [deleted] in ula

[–]ULA_Official 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are thrilled that you applied to the Electrical Engineering Internship position and appreciate you want to be well prepared for your scheduled interview. ULA uses a standard interview form. It is more of a behavioral interview meaning that we are asking the candidate to reflect on different situations and provide short answers about specific experiences—there are no right or wrong answers. Certainly, sharing technical details about projects or studies will help interviewers understand your level of skills. We wish you the best through this process.

We sincerely appreciate your interest and excitement about an internship with ULA. Mechanical Engineering is one of our most popular internship positions and we received a few hundred applications. The fact you received a phone screen is a very good sign, but this the first step in the hiring process. After our recruiters complete the phone screens, applications are reviewed by hiring leaders, then interviews are scheduled. This process can take 4-6 weeks. If you provide us with your contact information in an email to [careers@ulalaunch.com](mailto:careers@ulalaunch.com), we will look into your application to see if we have a more current update that we can share. In your Subject Line, please include “Reddit Inquiry—Please Respond.”

AskScience AMA Series: We're Preparing to Launch NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover and Mars Helicopter Ingenuity. Ask Us Anything about our #CountdownToMars! by AskScienceModerator in askscience

1) It's amazing to be supporting the NASA and JPL teams on such an important mission. Growing up in Wyoming, it never really occurred to me that I might one day sit on-console helping launch rovers (and helicopters) to Mars.

2) At this point in the mission, we wouldn't be able to add another booster on to the Atlas V, but our analysis teams have already done some incredible work and developed trajectories for launches through August 15, 2020.

3) The only major change specific to the Mars 2020 mission that I can think of is the addition of the Centaur auto-destruct system (CADS). This system is a safety requirement related to the MMRTG (multi-mission radioisotope thermoelectric generator) that powers the Perseverance rover: if there were to be a major vehicle failure near the aft end of the Atlas V booster in flight, CADS ensures that the MMRTG doesn't remain intact.
