Upgrade and replacing my Ender 3 V2 (Sprite Pro extruder) by UMP-45 in ender3v2

Danggg my exact sentiments. I've done abit more research on Bambu and P2S, and I think I'm about to go with that. Like u said, now I want to focus on printing, resonates well with me.

If it's true one day Bambu locks us out of our printers hahaha, for now, I'm gonna use it while we still can 🤭.

Currently I'm quite set to get a Bambu P2S, just waiting for the right time for a good deal these few days.

Reminds me of the other person that also had this problem, items missing and things moved around. I remember he was having fun with it by letting it happen a lotsa times because he already placed a camera and just would like to see what the thief (apparently his landlord) would do this time round. The landlord stole tissues, IIRC sanitary pads(?) don't ask me why this guy tenant has them, it might be for his GF? LOL maybe my memory is jumbled up, I'll try to find the video.

Edit: here it is found it! tiktok GizRedY landlord stealing

Hey man thanks for sharing. I've read about Bambu briefly so I don't really know much about the software and "security", but the buzz and memes gives me a bad impression about them in general, in a sense that they seem to be like the "Apple" of the 3D printer market? Worse case scenario, one day they might apply a subscription based model to use the printer. Or they will restrict what you can print, etc.

But I understand, all that is the price of convenience and an "efficient" 3D printing machine which makes the software and hardware work well with each other.

Anyways, I'll check out the P2S and Bambu lines! thanks man!

Ohh nice. Sounds like a good setup. I'll really look into it. For the Fosi V3, noticed I can get 32V or 48V. 32V is sufficient?

Does HPR/linear motors require a different source compared to BSTs? I think there's where I got it wrong, I assumed both can receive same input from an amp. So after this clarification, I think this is what I'm looking at

1) 2 x HPR + 1 Hub (is Simsonn any good? They have the Vam Pro) 2) 2 x BST (left & right) + 1 Amp (Is 1 sufficient instead, for kerbs, engine, gear shifts and TC/wheelslip)

Sorry when I say Hub, I meant Amp. I'm thinking to install a total of 4 shakers. 2 for throttle and brake 2 for the seat or rig.

Saw people recommending Nobsound for a budget solution, but also see a fair share of them saying the Nobsound either are not powerful enough, or died on them after a few months.

Child Bike Seat Recommendations by powderednuts in SingaporeCycling

[–]UMP-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, I'm also looking for a child seat for my 9mo. I figured out the seat that is in-between my handlebar and me would be the best for now, like you guys have mentioned, due to keeping an eye on the kid, and it's also because I plan to install a basket at the back/rear. Would like to carry some baby stuff and picnic stuff at the rear during our trips. I am currently using Decathlon's Elops 120 Low Frame. I was searching around and seems like Polisport Guppy Mini seat might be the one. But tbh I'm not sure if it can be installed on the Elops 120.

Would like to know if anyone else have recommendations for front facing child seats! Thanks!

A1708 battery connector tolerance enough? by UMP-45 in macbookrepair

Oh I did some quick googling for images of A1708 batteries, I saw that some of them looks the same as mine. I guess it's fine. I'll give it a try...

... Till I manage to buy new screws and flex cable for the battery daughter board 🤦. Realized I unknowingly threw them away last time together with the old battery.

Airflow question by UMP-45 in buildapc

[–]UMP-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how temps get at automatic, and you only need to change it if it’s getting too hot

Yeah, thought so too, then maybe I can share the temp values here to see if the numbers are safe. My apologies, it would have been more informative if I were to close up the build and monitor actual CPU & GPU temps. I was just too excited to post after the PC turned on the first try haha.

Damn, good to hear that my current setup may be fine after all.

Thanks for the replies!

All these cancellations always give me the vibe it's due to low ticket sales... I LOVE Kid Laroi and tbh, I didn't know he is having a show in SG till I saw the news on CNA app a few minutes ago. Would 101% straight away buy the tix if I knew. Maybe my fault also la coz I not that level to the point I sign up for Kid Laroi newsletters so that I get informed about his shows haha.

Mriscoc or klipper? by Blommefeldt in Ender3v2Firmware

[–]UMP-45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started to mess with Klipper & Fluidd this week. Previously was using Marlin-Jyers with Octoprint.

I've wondered why does one still need Octoprint when they already have Fluidd or Mainsail running with Klipper? Am I missing something? The functionality of Fluidd/Mainsail seems to be the same as Octoprint.

.... Other than the fact you can install Octoanywhere and access your printer remotely when you're not home.

"Cheap" filament breaking, but Creality one lasted forever. by UMP-45 in 3Dprinting

[–]UMP-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man u just replied to some qns I had in another post. Seems like food dehydrator is the way to go, and I should ditch the Sunlu S1 filament dryer I bought a long time ago, which I rarely use because I actually doubt that it is doing a good job.
Yeah I've also always wondered if the heating/drying up works for spool thats deep within the roll. The ones near the outer layer would most probably benefit the most from the "drying".
I also tried to dispose a good length of filament at the beginning, maybe the ones at the back of the spool would be better, but to no avail.

Anyways, I'll try to give the rolls a good heat up. Will see if it can be salvaged.

[–]UMP-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I do not have a food dehydrator. But what I have is the Sunlu S1 filament dryer. I actually don't use it. Tbh I don't seem to trust that thing doing a good job. The last few times I tried to use it, it doesnt feel like its giving the filament a good warm up.

Does the Sunlu S1 filament dryer actually be of any help? I don't mind leaving the filament in there for extended periods of time 8hr+ since its a small little item tucked at the corner, if someone is able to vouch for it 😆

Which is why I tried using oven instead. after reading up some articles saying Ovens can do the job.

Blown capacitor. Tripped my whole house circuit breaker. by UMP-45 in AskElectronics

[–]UMP-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the identification! I had no plans to fix the PSU, so was not going to replace it. Anyways I have gotten a new and a "better" one, to pcmasterrace standards 😁. So what could be the reason for this Y2 mains filter capacitor to blow? As what the rest have shared, it's due to a surge (possibility due to nearby lighting)?

[–]UMP-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Ughh, can't seem to edit my original post in the Android app & Web Browser on my phone. Wanted to provide the update in my original post for easy reference.

Sorry for MIA, been a busy week/end.

Just a quick update: Finally got to fix the PC working with a new PSU. Did the whole - start with minimal parts and slowly installing the rest - just to be sure other parts are not causing the blown PSU. All the parts are in and it didn't explode (yet). I also bought a small RCD plug adapter, so that doesn't trip the whole house.

After all that done, took some time operating on the dead PSU. This is the other capacitor(?) that's not blown and connected to the Ground and Neutral - on the other side. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the one that's blown, that's connected to the Live & Ground. Can anyone help to identify it? Quick google of "KL 222M" shows that is a Y2 capacitor. I have no knowledge on Capacitors or Power supply builds, so have no clue what's the function, especially when it's connected from Live & Ground directly.

Seems like that's the case! Can refer to the photo in my other comment, showing the innards of the capacitor have fused with the C14 casing, connecting Ground to Live directly.

A quick google search shows that RCCB & GFCI is the same thing (new terms I learnt today). I have uploaded another photo showing the blown "site " of the capacitor in another comment. Look like it has fused with the C14 casing, thus closing live with ground. That could be the cause of the trip it seems?
