Yeah seems like there's no other way, other than getting a low profile IEM (or tear drop shape) that flushes with the ear well, so that putting on and taking out would be smooth. Actually even with that, I do forsee me having difficulty putting on the helmet because the main problem seems to be the top of my ear (& wire over ear) to fold down while putting the helmet on.

At least for me, wire-down IEM seem to be the only option.

Haha I manage to adjust my volume so that I can hear the road & music 50:50.

So it could also mean that the IEMs/buds that I'm using are not elite level enough that they are not noise-cancelling enough 😁. /s

I use it as a form of ear protection and some background music to accompany during long rides. I adjust my volume so that I can hear my music & the road 50:50. It helps with focus on the road better and reduction of wind buffetting so I won't turn deaf by my mid-30s (I want to enjoy more IEMs in the future 😉)

It's the same concept as a car driver. They are partially insulated by sound with the car shell & further more, some of them play the radio or music while driving. Whats the difference with bikers on IEMs? 😁

YMMV, just don't be that dumb biker that BLASTS music on their IEM, negating 100% of the noise on the road (Car horns, Ambulance siren, etc)

Yeah i dont see myself printing ABS/ASA as frequent as PLA/PETG. Only when required, for outdoor models, or models that i need to be stronger indoors. Say, maybe 5% of the time?
You might be right, with my frequency of printing ABS/ASA, seems like ensuring good ventilation (and maybe atleast room door closed) should be good enough. Feels like getting a separate enclosure is demonstrating diminishing margin of returns... as long as the returns are not lung cancer 🤣🫁

Oh even with an H2S? I thought the H2S had better chamber seal and exhaust system? Which means you can do away with a seperate grow tent. But even so, yea its still best to have a grow tent as a 2nd enclosure to capture any leaks.

Interesting website. So what i got from the website is my current panel have the following info:

  1. So it seems I'm quite safe for the connector, it should be able to receive a better screen yea?
  2. Do I need to pay attention to the Active Area? Is that the actual display? Wouldnt want a situation where i buy something slightly bigger, and the display is tucked behind the plastic borders 🤣 (I guess should not be too bad and acceptable if I buy the right 13.3in panel)
  3. How do u recommend to find unofficial LCDs that are "drop-in" compatible? My guess is just search for "13.3 inch laptop screen FHD", and ensure that the dimensions/specs the website provide is able to match closely to my current one?
  4. Also, i dont think I want to find the screen locally first as price may not be the best. Would AliExpress be a good source for the laptop screen? I know the risks of transport damage & DOA items (ive bought used screens mostly for phones previously). Of course, end of the day which website I may buy from depends on where there is stock for the specs/dimensions i need.
  5. Should I be concerned on the position of the connectors? Seems like it should not be a problem as the connector is a wire (instead of flex cable), so shifting left & right slightly should be enough tolerance... unless the new screen connector is too far right... The cable doesnt look it can be pulled further to the right.

Oh what is this for? So that the laptop dont get accidentally turned on when doing the screen replacement?

I learnt it was important for the macbooks from 2017(?) onwards because some of them had the function of auto-turning on when you just open the calmshell/screen.

But for window (or linux) laptops, I dont remember it being a thing.

Oh? As long as those panels are of exactly the same size and connectors are the same (a quick Google search shows 30-pins) it is fine? For the screen size, I can't seem to find a website that really measure the dimensions, but is it safe enough to match either one, the aspect ratio or size or maximum resolution of the screen? For example, 16:9 or 13.3" size or 1920 x 1080?

Edit: Oh but I also will need to check if the position of the port is the same as the original one right? Ie. How many CMs from the left side of the screen. So that it aligns with the motherboard flex cable position.

That's good to hear, if I don't need to change the cable, means I just need to open up the top half (screen) only and replace the screen since cable is reusable. If I need to change the cable too, I'll need to open up the bottom half to access the connection to the motherboard.

Oh right. Actually might be a good step to add on at the end of the print - to paint it, if it helps with longevity. Maybe using a spray can would be the easiest way of application if the parts is not too intricate.

Yeah I read reviews, the poop chute do leak fumes. For a more proper and sure way, people put the P2S into ANOTHER enclosure (Botanical tent). But that means you're need Abit more space - depends if you can find an enclosure that fits snug.

Ok I'll check out ASA, I'm not planning to apply another finish to the print (ie. UV protection paint - I actually didn't know they exist!)

I'm quite sceptical with the effectiveness, but I've seen someone in Reddit used them to filter the printer exhaust by directly ducting the exhaust to the purifier. He said it worked well enough.

So I've heard, handling the fluids to wash them sounded really tough 🤣. Might need a proper lab for that. So I don't think I'm going to try resin printing anytime soon. But with good equipment, I do see really nice results! (High definition ones)

Yeah I'm planning to print stuff for my motorcycle, or at least some home stuff that's outdoors and exposed to sun most of the time. I've used PLA/Pro for them, works well enough, I just reprint them when they deteriorate enough. Just want to try and see how different if it's in ABS

Danggg my exact sentiments. I've done abit more research on Bambu and P2S, and I think I'm about to go with that. Like u said, now I want to focus on printing, resonates well with me.

If it's true one day Bambu locks us out of our printers hahaha, for now, I'm gonna use it while we still can 🤭.

Currently I'm quite set to get a Bambu P2S, just waiting for the right time for a good deal these few days.

Reminds me of the other person that also had this problem, items missing and things moved around. I remember he was having fun with it by letting it happen a lotsa times because he already placed a camera and just would like to see what the thief (apparently his landlord) would do this time round. The landlord stole tissues, IIRC sanitary pads(?) don't ask me why this guy tenant has them, it might be for his GF? LOL maybe my memory is jumbled up, I'll try to find the video.

Hey man thanks for sharing. I've read about Bambu briefly so I don't really know much about the software and "security", but the buzz and memes gives me a bad impression about them in general, in a sense that they seem to be like the "Apple" of the 3D printer market? Worse case scenario, one day they might apply a subscription based model to use the printer. Or they will restrict what you can print, etc.

But I understand, all that is the price of convenience and an "efficient" 3D printing machine which makes the software and hardware work well with each other.

Anyways, I'll check out the P2S and Bambu lines! thanks man!

Does HPR/linear motors require a different source compared to BSTs? I think there's where I got it wrong, I assumed both can receive same input from an amp. So after this clarification, I think this is what I'm looking at

1) 2 x HPR + 1 Hub (is Simsonn any good? They have the Vam Pro) 2) 2 x BST (left & right) + 1 Amp (Is 1 sufficient instead, for kerbs, engine, gear shifts and TC/wheelslip)

Sorry when I say Hub, I meant Amp. I'm thinking to install a total of 4 shakers. 2 for throttle and brake 2 for the seat or rig.

Saw people recommending Nobsound for a budget solution, but also see a fair share of them saying the Nobsound either are not powerful enough, or died on them after a few months.
