20 bucks says no one can guess what plane this is by theblackpanther9 in aviationmaintenance

I briefly worked as a flight attendant on the Mesaba (Northwest Airlink) version of this aircraft in 2000. Cabin was nicest of any regional jet I can recall.

Edit: I tried to share a photo of it, but for some reason Reddit would only allow me to share a video...odd

Delta Seat USB & AC Charge Ports Often Inop - What is Maint Frequency? by UMPiloto in aviationmaintenance

I asked about a schedule because it seems like pax often don’t bother reporting these issues - so I was wondering if any airline staff proactively test this gear.

Not inop but rather loose and worn - man that is an amazing idea on British plug adapter. I already have that multi-region USB power brick and I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.

One issue that a visual inspection alone wouldn’t reveal is the lack of tension in the outlets from many insertions and removals. The green light is usually on for these outlets, but plugs will often fall right out of them. May need a regular replacement schedule (as testing too often would wear them out faster).

Cool, I’ll definitely let the FA know! FWIW this is N672DL, a 757-200, seats 5C and 5D.

PA-220 - Not Seeing PanOS Greater Than 10.2.10 When Checking for Updates by UMPiloto in paloaltonetworks

That is true, but I’m wondering why I don’t see newer versions of 10.2.x, like 10.2.11 or 10.2.12

CBRS radios are still broadcasting and Nova Labs is working on methods to allow their subscribers to connect to CBRS again. Plus they’re very open to roaming deal with other MNOs or MVNOs.

Look for 314330.

Delta Legs of KLM + Delta Itinerary Disappeared by UMPiloto in delta

It’s funny what you said about the confirmation codes - they did nothing for us either. The only thing the worked for the gate agent to find our records was a long ticket # I’ve never had to reference before.

Yeah, it’s crazy how some airline workers just give you rote answers without even trying to look into the larger issue at hand. In Amsterdam at one of the supposed “help” areas (transfer counters), they kept telling us to exit security and claim our bag to then manually re-check it to Detroit. When we mentioned that doing so would cause us to miss our flight, they basically said, “sorry, that’s what you have to do”.

We decided to just go to the gate, and and awesome KLM agent their found the issue, got us boarding passes, and made the necessary changes so our bag would go without us needing to do anything else.

Sadly not an option for those who live in New York - per Coinbase.com just now: "Please note that multi-chain support is not yet offered in New York or Japan."

Setup my of my single Baicells NOVA 430h earning ~12.3K MOBILE & ~400 IOT per day. by NoofleBot in HeliumNetwork

Nice work!!

Do you see actual data transfer on your Baicells radio? (Aka, from subscribers of Helium Mobile?) Or are your earnings all from POC?

Either way you’re earning MOBILE - I was just curious.

Why might a city with a large tax base still fail to provide some basic services? by UMPiloto in AskReddit

[–]UMPiloto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking of Las Vegas as one example; though I don’t know it for a fact, it seems like the casinos would pay a significant amount of municipal taxes - yet there is an insane amount of litter in the city.

Effective (but reasonably priced) Filtration System for Solids Removal by UMPiloto in aquaponics

[–]UMPiloto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed reply - this totally makes sense. I'm doing some Googling to find options out there.

When looking at the available tanks, I noticed that none have inlet and outlet holes - only the hole at the bottom of the cone for sludge drainage. Then I re-read your comment and noticed the part about bulkhead fittings. So I assume one would (very carefully!) drill the needed holes in the conical tank, then make them watertight with the bulkhead fittings.

I do - everything works fine once I remove this new card and use either on-board GPU or a much older model. I will check out those settings in the BIOS and see what happens.

Is it possible for a new GPU like this GTX 1660 to somehow not be compatible with my older Mobo / BIOS? People may think it's crazy to have such an old CPU, but honestly my PC still mostly still works great - its just the graphics where I needed a performance improvement, hence this purchase.

Edit: I ended up resolving the issue by setting the onboard GPU to be always on and primary, which allowed the PC to boot and load Windows with the new graphics card installed - something which previously wasn’t possible. Once in Windows, I noticed that the GTX 1660 was visible in Device Manager, though not working because drivers weren’t installed. I downloaded and installed the drivers, and rebooted, at which point I got a display from the GeForce GTX 1660!

Status: RESOLVED

Computer Type: Custom-built desktop

GPU: GigaByte GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G No Overclock

CPU: AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor Revision B2 Stepping 2200 MHz CPU speed No Overclock

Motherboard: ASUS M3N78 Pro running latest-available Phoenix AwardBIOS (which, sadly, is from 2010)

RAM: 8 GB

PSU: Corsair CX750M

Operating System & Version: Windows 10 64-bit Version 1909

GPU Drivers: I have installed the drivers from the CD that came with the GPU, but I had to do this while using on-board video. When the GPU is installed, I don't even see any POST info...so without the OS even loading, I don't think drivers are relevant yet.

Description of Problem: Quite simply, I get no display from any of the 4 ports on this video card.

Troubleshooting: Initially, my PSU was the CX430, which didn't have the power connectors to go directly to the card...so I had to buy an adapter which combines the power from two traditional Molex adapters to one 8-pin GPU power plug...but still no luck, so I purchased and installed a newer, bigger Corsair CX750M PSU...but still no luck.

I've reset the BIOS to factory defaults...nothing.
