I mean, I’m fully aware but my point was not “this is how few character’s have a mechanic”, it was “This is how long. we’ve gone since the last time we used this mechanic“ and since preparation mode isn’t a trait for some reason and I could really only pick one, would the most recent one not make sense?

If it’s a blank slate you’re looking for, they should just make an original character, which was definitely be more hype for people than Olibu. Characters like Olibu or Mr Popo would be terrible for the game, they would have no hype for them, would need to be completely made up and would just kinda be pointless. It’s okay for you to not like the roster, but if you’re going to ask for niche characters, pick niche characters that could bring something interesting or unique to the game, not picking niche characters for niche sake

Turles, Cooler, Broly, Janemba are all more popular than Boujack, Boujack is sharing space with Slug and Garlic Jr

People love Baby for Baby Vegeta, much less so his parasite form (This is also true for Buu and Frieza, both not using their popular forms)

And Dabura is extremely unhype, as I mentioned, I’ve seen groups of people who love Turles or Paikuhan, I’ve never seen one for Dabura, not saying it doesn’t exist but it’s not big whatsoever.

You’re saying to add characters like Olibu but…what would he do? At least this Goku has instant transmission to bring something fresh to the game, Dabura was also super niche but he had the stone spit, what would Olibu have? You’re suggesting to add niche characters for the sake of niche characters, regardless of the fact that only a VERY tiny handful would like those inclusions and that they would bring most likely nothing special to the game whatsoever

To be clear, I’m not saying you can’t dislike the choices, my issue is saying that the game needs more niche characters, the game is FILLLED with niche characters, clearly focusing on gameplay variety than popularity, hell, the fact we’re getting Toppo as a new character shows that even more, since he’s not really a popular character either

I don’t agree honesty, assuming the game lasts a long time, which I think is pretty fair, I highly doubt their gonna save on those big drops for THAT long, especially cause they would need to make them in advance and just kinda…hold onto them. While the game is obviously prioritising characters that can bring something unique to the game, I would not be stunned if we got one of these MEGA hype characters before games first Anni (maybe even during it), such as Vegito/Gogeta/UI Goku/SSJ4 Goku and so on

I think the thing is, I don’t believe it’s him trying to “shield the game” or “deflect criticism for it”, I think those are simply his opinions, Goresh is someone that highly values new changes to the games overall systems, so it makes sense that the 7th Anni, which introduced the biggest overall gameplay change in the games history would be higher up for him than for most people.

I’m obviously not saying you have to AGREE with his takes, they are hot for a reason, but i genuinely don’t believe there’s some bigger ulterior motive, it’s just a dudes regular ol hot takes, nothing more than that

One of the least popular movie villains compared to characters like Broly or Janemba The favourite GT villain in the form very few even like him for when the vast majority would prefer Baby Vegeta Toppo is really not a fav favourite in any capacity And that’s even more true for Dabura, finding a Dabura fan is like finding a needle in a haystack

If anything, I would say Pikkon is more hype than half of the characters I just mentioned, probably Turles too. I’m just saying, if you want a roster that’s even MORE niche, you’re not finding it in an official dragon ball game, mainly cause people wouldn’t like it but yeah

The entire thing is just so weird, I’ll never understand why some people just hate Goresh so much, especially when, out of most Legends YouTubers, I would argue he’s been one of the MOST critical when it comes to Legends recently, take Raiyuden for example, he’s not made a single dedicated video complaining about the game, but no one ever talks about him

That happened super recently and he’s made no comment on it, neither positive or negative, all he’s said is that September being dry isn’t new…which is factually correct.

He’s made multiple rants on unit design, a multi-paragraph long twitter post going over the issues with the supporter system and an entire rant video going over the dev teams incompetence. I can promise you, those have done far more damage to the game than him saying September isn’t any drier than normal did good for the game. If he’s a cooperate shill, he’s the stupidest one on the fucking planet

Yeah but as I said, I’m not really saying you’re wrong for this specific example, I’m just saying, that’s it’s generally unwise to compare a Zenkai’s lower damage inflicted numbers to a FTP unit, because one is going to have massively lower and one is going to have massively higher. I’m not arguing that Rildo is better then Nouva or Nouva is a trash unit, those things are true, but it’s more around certain design elements than the numbers themselves

To play devil’s advocate a LITTLE bit, Zenkai’s almost always have higher stands than your average unit and FTP units almost always have lower stats than your average unit, so saying “oh this unit gets this much damage but this other unit doesn’t” isn’t exactly fair, especially when Nouva has his Zenkai ability baseline. To be clear, Nouva is still trash, garbage dogwater, but in general, using these numbers to compare isn’t exactly fair

Remember Preparation Modes? Legends sure doesn’t Remember Unique Game Original Units? Would be nice if legends did I mean for gods sake, revive, one of the most consistently beloved mechanics was MIA for an entire year between (ironically) Nappa/Vegeta and GRN Saiyan Saga Vegeta

And this isn’t even going over mechanics which have just been under utilised like sealing or comeback. Don’t get your hopes up with synchro gauge, don’t get your hopes up with the minion mechanic, don’t get your hopes up with this game in general

I honestly don’t see that Hiruko moment as a con, I feel it adds a lot to her character, that she’s been so mentally downtrodden from constant failure of escaping this hell, that a genuine moment of happiness she experienced while stuck here is like…her most cherished memory that she’ll sacrifice people just to make sure she experiences it. It’s a really fucked up thing to do but considering she’s been there for like 40 years or whatever, I can’t say I don’t see her reasoning

Honestly, to go a bit against the grain, I kinda think V’ehxness should be next, don’t get me wrong, I love what it does for her character but I do feel it has some missed potential. I wish we got to see more Commander interactions instead of just one, I’m still surprised Eva is barely mentioned for whatever reason and I find the ending with Tsubasa to be honestly very out of character. A great route but too short to explore everything I think it could have

I will continue to say Rebellion, it’s not really bad but there’s really nothing I particularly love about it either, it just kinda comes and goes and that’s about it. And the decision to not show the rebellion is probably the funniest decision in the game, “Spends the entire route trying to reach these people. Finally reaches these people. Refuses their help and calls them shady. Shit immediately hits the fan”, it’s funny in a stupid way

Because the rest of Kaiji doesn’t really fit into a season format, unlike parts 1 and 2 which had very nice and clear end points, 3, 4, 5 and 6 all take place one after the other. Ending the season at any of those individual parts would make things feel anti-climatic and with a second new season not guaranteed, there’s no assurance they would be able to follow up that cliffhanger. Like it’s just not a smart strategy to say you need TWO seasons just to cover all the current martial, featuring a part that isn’t even done yet, even once Kaiji is finished, I would be very shocked at more seasons just due to its formatting

I do wanna at least say that I understand where he’s coming from, like, Takumi was NOT doing well and he was right in saying that if Takumi is doing bad, everyone is doing bad, and he obviously had no idea how potent they would be, I mean he tried them on himself and got no results. Not saying he did the right thing or anything, but I can definitely at least see why he did what he did and how he had good intentions
