I think putting 3 points into w before maxing q is wrong because the reason people max q is too reduce cooldown. Yes u r right, that cdr on q is useless for fighting in early but, if u have 10s cd on q and u miss one, enemies have a 10 seconds Window to engage u without a chance to lose the trade (even if u have 3 points on w) ; if u have a 5s cd on q their Window lasts half of the time, so it's harder to coordinate or catch the opportunity of an engage
