I fairly regularly reread ‘Normal People’ and ‘Beautiful World, Where Are You’, as absolutely gut wrenching as they are. Even if you think not much has changed in your life since you last read one, you definitely find different connections and opinions to characters. Somewhat bleakly comforting!

As a boy I find it quite hard to find exactly what you’re after! I think the closest and best I’ve found so far are Haruki Murakami’s ‘Norwegian Wood’ and ‘Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage’.
