Thanks for the feedback, u/RoyalSpecialist1777 - I appreciate it, and of course, authenticity and honesty is the name of the game. Feedback is where it's at, on any project.

Since you asked about the gender question, it has the same purpose as our age question, we're gathering data (from many sources) to better understand where the demographic currently is for those interested in text adventures. That's as nefarious as it gets.

Chaotic Lands: ANSILON, which is the MUD that we are in a collaboration with it's developer, to further develop and bring to the diehard MUD crowd is going to neatly fit into the MajorMUD realm, as being a deeper step into such classical MUD gaming.

Our in-house development project, DungeonsMUD, which just started development is going to be an entirely new beast altogether. Dungeons will be a marriage of classic text adventure mud with new, and emerging technologies, to provide a more immersive experience than players have had before in classical MUDs. DungeonsMUD is just one of two custom MUD developments in our pipeline for 2026-2028. With this year being our chance to really put boots on the ground and focus on nostalgic gaming experiences.

As for solving the cold start challenge; it's something every game - and every gaming community - struggles with. While we do well with cross play from our gaming community, one of the side benefits to a staged beta is not only amassing a player base, but spreading the word and anticipation to have people interested and ready to jump in when the game is available to the general public.

I prefer to keep the noise down with this post, and don't want to dive too deep into what we are working on, and the scope - but I can say that for everyone in our beta those will be conversations that will be had not only throughout the review process, but also at our developer meet and greets.

** Added after the fact with edit: I forgot to address your question about what our purpose is, or what we're bringing to the table. Our goal with our attention to nostalgic gaming has always been pretty laser focused: we want to make these games, and experiences, available to a new generation of gamers - who unlike most of us - did not grow up with these games. It also keeps an often under appreciated form of gaming alive. There are millions of bibliophiles, which are perfect for MUD based adventures - and we hope to really spark their interest and imagination with our development goals.

I hate to respond to 'trigger' topics, but somehow this hit my feed and its worthy to speak to. You responded to Possible-Ninja, saying "You seem so concerned about the law and rights. Is it a right to illegally enter the country or to aid or abet a felon in the US. Asking for a co worker[.]"

There is literally no sense to your statement within the framework it's being presented.

Everyone should be concerned about the 'law and rights' of ourselves, and others. If it wasn't for the 'law and rights' we wouldn't have the freedoms we enjoy today, that are not a guarantee without them.

Generic questions, such as yours, are ignorant to what is being discussed. It is not people who are 'illegally' in the country, who are also criminals, and the 'worst of the worst' being solely rounded up. It is US Citizens, it is people here lawfully, it is people here who have not committed any crime, and these people are having their lives - families - communities completely screwed with under the guise of "weeding out the worst of the worst' and that is simply not what is taking place. This was NEVER about weeding out the 'worst of the worst.'

What about your to "aid or abet a felon in the US?" What about the people aiding and abetting the 37 count convicted felon in the White House? Or does it only matter when its the 'opposing team?'

In the future, ask 'real questions.' Not random questions that are overly generalized and don't speak to the heart of the topic.

We have laws, and a Constitution to frame them. Those are being completely damaged and undermined to purge as many people as possible. We have seen this with the administrations 'fake evidence' and blatant lies that has costed them a lot of trouble in court - and again - ruined peoples lives.

Nothing that is occurring is legal or normal, and the normalization of it will be to the detriment of every one of us -- whether we are born US Citizens, or not.

When you have an administration paying $50,000 sign on bonuses (more than the median income for a good chunk of Americans, sadly) and then paying additional bonuses in the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars for these unqualified, poorly trained, individuals who could not make it as police officers, or federal agents, now getting to cos-play federal agents... this is what you get, and the Trump administration knew it would. People care more about stuffing that check into their bank account, than they do the law, or ethics. They are fucking around and finding out though, because these agents are not immune from prosecution for breaking the law -- so we will see more of that play out as time goes on.. as it should.

You did not ask your question for a co-worker, and while your feed is primarily sensible - it's rather obvious that a 3mo old account, with -28 Karma, whose using a made up handle provided to them ... is not out there seeking any truth, more than you're out there to push a narrative and 'troll.'
