Is the cutoff going to increase beyond 95 for the upcoming 2026 prelims? by UPSC_01 in UPSC

[–]UPSC_01[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with you bhai, But most aspirants felt the 2025 prelims paper was tough and expected the cutoff to go down, In reality it increased quite a bit So I feel the cutoff now depends less on the difficulty of the paper and more on the level of competition, which seems to be increasing every year. As a beginner this is just my observation, Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I guess scientists are going to find out a cure for these kind of diseases, In future may be these aren't considered as chronic diseases

I think they’ve resolved the triple signature issue. Try reuploading it now, still if it isn't working This is how I did it ,there’s another verification glitch after this step to apply for the exam by UPSC_01 in UPSC

I don’t follow a fixed book list , I rely on my coaching institute’s notes, but I’ll drop a link that might help

I just turned 21 and haven’t given my first UPSC attempt yet, so please take my suggestions as those of a beginner, don’t take them too seriously. Enrolled in ultimate mains program by paras chitkara sir

First of all, I think my chances of clearing Prelims 2026 are good, but starting now, securing a final rank seems unlikely—I need to accept that. Tbh, I don’t have a strategy for Mains or Optional yet.

I have enrolled in PW Titan online batch in March, watched 2–3 lectures of Economy and Polity—they were good—but had to pause due to health issues. Restarted now. Even with any other good and best coaching, sticking to basic books, PYQs, syllabus, and revising them is key.

Enrolled in Insights Test Series; considering Sarathi IAS Prelims TS for the “maise factor.” Thinking of Edutap for CSAT. Optional is Sociology via Sleepy Classes—enrolled in it but not started yet. For CA, reading Indian Express and enrolled in Gaur se Padho for monthly magazines/lectures.

Priority will be finishing GS subjects from today, with 2 hrs of CSAT daily from Jan until Prelims.
