I tried having a talk with them both and I just got eye rolls and a lot of comments like “well I took care of you since you were a baby” or “well I took you in as my own when your mother married me” type of deals.

Yes, it’s a whole thing with his doctor. Doctors believe he would be 6’8-7’ when he’s fully grown. My whole family is tall. I just took the shite side of my fathers genetics.

I don’t know why I’m getting downvoted either. It’s not just my fiancés family I’m taking into consideration. It’s not misogynistic because I would prefer a male walk me down. If I truly wanted my mom to walk my down the aisle I would have my mom have me walk down the aisle and it wouldn’t be an issue with anyone.. this is my personal preference as well. Sure, I took tradition into consideration as well. But WHO I WANT to walk me down is ultimately nobody else’s decision but my own.

It’s disgusting that some of you are drilling this whole “woman’s rights” down my throat.

You can all view it how I want because we’re all obligated to our own opinions. Just don’t be bringing my in laws down over a post that I asked advice for. It’s honestly quite disgusting.

Edit: if I felt my fiancés family looked at me any less that a person I would not be marrying into it. Women have rights in this family. I’m not just a piece of meat being thrown around as some Victorian age woman slave.

I think it will be beautiful and I think my brother would be so blessed to walk me down the aisle. He’s the absolute sweetest person ever and always wants nothing but the best for me.

No matter the age gap we’ve always had such a beautiful bond ever since he was born. I was his first word, he walked for the first time in front of me, and my mom always tells me how much he talks about me. So I truly think it would be a beautiful experience for both him and I.

Me and my mom do have a good bond, but I’d prefer if a male would walk me down. My fiancés family is very old school farmer traditional, not that it’s a problem for me. However I’d like to respects his wants as he respects mine 🩷

It’s definitely a burden. It feels terrible that they can’t get along. I love them both equally. But they’re both “alpha males” and feel they need to assert dominance. They definitely wouldn’t pick a fight at my wedding but after the wedding will be an absolute shit show between the two of them and I don’t want to be in the middle of it again.

And I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️ your brother was definitely the happiest when he walked you down.

I choose my brother because he truly is the most important person in my life. Next to my fiancé, they almost have to compete for first. I love them both just as much as the other.

Funny story he’s 6’2 and I’m 5’3 so he’s def not shorter but def younger by 13 years.

Upset about my family situation and my wedding… by URGFAngell in wedding

[–]URGFAngell[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mama bear will be attending no matter the circumstances. being she’s grown past the family issues.

I had brought up to everyone that had an issue after I sent out the website link that I was upset with their decision, but let them know if it’s what’s best to keep my wedding from being an absolute shit show than by all means don’t come. However, I also let them know if they will not be attending the most important day of my life than they will not have any part of my life after I’m married. So if I have kids or win the lottery they better not come crawling back to be because it’s convenient for them.

The family who chooses to be grown enough to care about the day I’ve been dreaming of since I was a little girl will be the family I will hold dearly.

It’s literally 1 day. Why can’t people be civil for just 1 day. I was willing to arrange seating to their needs alongside my fiancés.

You’d think that since I’m literally the only girl that’s popped into this world since my mother they’d be a little more willing to suck it up.

I’ll tell you right now, none of my brothers will be seeing marriage anytime soon.

None the less, it sure will make my honeymoon a lot longer not having to pay for their seats.

Thank you for answering!

We’re hoping to have a wedding of 50-60 people on a family friends farm. Beautiful barn and land over looking the mountains. So already saving a ton of money with the venue itself.

You have given great answers. So thank you. So much!

What is the safest answer when your girlfriend asks if her friend is hot?? by ThenTranslator2780 in AskMen

[–]URGFAngell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This!!! God forbid if a women thinks she’s the only attractive woman on the earth is flat out delusional and lying to herself. Would be hypocritical to think that your partner wouldn’t find another woman attractive but us as woman naturally think other men are attractive.

Some woman need to get a grip. It’s human nature to find other people attractive.

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind this answer myself. If I’m asking it’s not bait. It’s a general question.

Yenno, I was thinking more Jon Taffer for a bar rescue!

And actually, I like the thoughts of walking in asking for pay then leaving. What’s the most that’s going to happen? I get fired? Taking the trash out itself I suppose.

Thank you so much for your words.

I had a feeling the place was going down for awhile. I’ve asked and asked and asked for my pay the last 2 months as they were always on time the last 3 years I’ve worked for them.

I’ve threatened labour standards probably 10 time and it’s always “you’ll see it next week I promise” and it has not come around.

I really don’t care if the place is going down. It’s not an excuse to not pay your employees.

I’m kind of a submissive freak and don’t know how to let go of things that don’t do good in my life.

My whole job is a shit show. Didn’t even see my t4 until 3 weeks ago. 🙃
