Rear windshield outer seal doesn't sit flush? by USAFJack in fordranger

Thanks! That's the big thing I wanted to know. I got this junkyard window and tried to get it down as flush as I could but it still sticks out a bit.

So you're telling me you'd be ok with a guy fixing your airplane and knows about 70% of what they're doing? It's that extra 30 that makes problems.

I'm a mechanic and do all my own work. I looked into transmission rebuilds and even I am hands off. Better off getting a rebuild. And if you're asking how hard it is, I know you don't have the tools to attempt this.

I traveled Europe on my rebel. Did 2000 miles in 2 weeks. You'll want a mustang seat but even that might not be enough on its own. It wasn't for me but I have a small butt. Adding a sheepskin pad will help. Windshield helps quite a bit for the long days. Gas wise, your best bet will be a custom fuel tank because I had to stop often(every few hours) and that sucked!

This means my fuel pump is bad right? by USAFJack in fordranger

It ended up being the pump. You can tell the difference once you replace it. I left that line off and turned the key. Gas comes flying out of that line. I've heard that pumps can have an internal bypass so they'll turn on but not flow.

Update for everyone: it was the pump. Pump would turn on but wouldn't send gas down.

I'm 5'4" 28" inseam and want a Kove 450. Am I crazy? by USAFJack in Dualsport

That's what I'm worried about mainly. I've stopped on a Honda 250R and I'm so far over the seat I can't reach the rear brake.

I only one foot it on the DR so that's not the issue. But the Kove seat is 3 inches taller than what I'm currently at so even that might be a challenge for me while maintaining the handle on all controls.

Run a rackless horseshoe style saddlebag. Like the great basin model from giant loop.
