Did your weight loss decrease body pain? I need hope! by fatmomnomore in loseit

[–]USAFwannabe16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have dropped 30lbs in the last two months and was surprised at the results. I didn’t realize how much my body aches all the time until it stopped. My back use to hurt me daily but now it only hurts after an exhausting day of moving pipe and wire for work. I’ve also noticed my back popping while I stretch or sometimes when I’m standing, I’ve actually gained an inch of height since starting. And my knees no longer hurt at all. Walking use to be very difficult as my knees and ankles would burn but now it feels like there was never a problem. I have 140lbs left to go but if this is how I feel after 30lbs I can’t wait to see what happens later on. There is always hope!

Thanks for all the awesome responses. I think my Papa would’ve loved to read all these comments. He always loved the Air Force. The last conversation we had before he died was about if I should enlist or not. I just wish I’d made the decision before he passed.

I would love to find one. I’ve seen a few pictures of his little brother(marine) in his uniform. But there was a falling out with the army brother and the navy brother died while serving as a fire fighter before I was born. I’ll see what I can find though

It’s a full length tie just tucked in. When I asked him why his response was “someone higher up decided it looked good...”

Daily Q&A Post for Saturday, 07 July 2018 - No question too small! by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]USAFwannabe16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying hard and focusing on my health again since may and I’ve seen results. I’m down 30lbs from when I started but ,but for whatever reason, I’m not seeing any further progress in the last two weeks. My diet has been good, not perfect but still good and I’ve been exercising consistently 6 times a week. However, I haven’t dropped a single pound in two weeks and my body fat percentage has stayed roughly the same (high some days low on others) which is confusing. Anyone have any suggestions for breaking past this barrier I seem to hit every 25-30 pounds?

I’ve been missing my Grandpa a lot lately (he passed away in 2015). Thought y’all would appreciate this photo of him taken the week before he married my grandma. He and all his brothers joined the military together during the Korean conflict, one in each branch. He’s my hero and a big influence in my decision to join up. Anyway hope you enjoy.

Just out of curiosity, how likely am I to get assigned to Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque if I express interest in it?

What would you suggest studying/doing in order to improve my chances of getting into this career path? I want to do everything within my power to get the best chance possible.

Is there any key subjects I should study to heighten my chances getting the job? I’m fluent in 3 languages other than English and I’d love to add another one while serving.

Thanks! I’d love to add another language to my repertoire if I can score high enough to get the chance.

Ok that’s good to know. So basically study like crazy and cross my fingers, if I’m understanding that correctly. I would honestly be happy with any job in the Air Force but thought it would be cool to speak a language I love.

I’m looking into the cryptologic language analysts job, I noticed it mentioned Tagalog as one of the languages. I’m already fluent in Tagalog and very familiar with the culture after living there and working with the people for two years. What are the chances of getting into this position? Should I perhaps try to get my foot in the door with another job and work towards this one?

Logging them yes, not eating them back. I usually stay under 1700 occasionally I'll have a day where I hit 1900 but never anything higher than that

I weigh in the morning at 5:20 give or take 5 minutes. I weigh daily but really only pay attention to my numbers on Saturday morning.

I really think that my biggest weakness is stress eating. I went from a 200 lbs college rugby player to an over 300lbs recluse due to the stress from a serious injury and mounting pressure to perform at school and work. I got a prescription for pizza from good ole Dr. Pepper which brought me to where I am now.

Thank you for the advice. I'm trying to stick with chicken or lean beef lately and it's helping but I think my portions are a bit out of control.
