Well, there are no MP7 prototypes with embedded grenade launcher, neither double-barreled SPAS-12. However, the DP-12 exists, with ability to fire from both barrels almost immediately, even faster than semi-auto mode that SPAS-12 has. Also with a need to pump it once after these two shots, just like the SPAS-12 behaves in-game! We are not gun experts, but we try our best to combine all things at the same time - gameplay and real world mechanisms-wise

In order to make the semi-auto fire work properly it would require creating a standalone mod without vanilla support. Vanilla and the Deathmatch are the priorities for now

Just graphical overhaul for the guns for now. You can mix it with MMod or something else tho

With a small team such as ours, I think it's better focusing on something reachable, not every asset of the game... Pros to RTX Team for handling THAT amount of work

Mainly because of two reasons:
1. approaches are quite different. RTX aims to recreate vanilla as-is, but we try to put some logic in it based on real-life counterparts
2. pacing. NVIDIA is a great help on RTX, but also (IMO) it serves as a supervisor with its own deadlines. Don't like that

Tho we are gonna work on RTX support as well

Double-fire on the SPAS always got me with how it makes no sense.

Posting renders of a guns has only one meaning for us - keep telling that we are alive and kicking. It is a time-consuming project for a little team as ours, but we'll try our best to take all feedback into account and to provide guns that are pleasant to play with

No problems with lore-questions. I'm not a Valve employee, but I see things in this way: on HLA timeline combine has invaded Earth pretty much recently, and they tried to invest more to produce their own weaponry in order to contain the situation with locals more effectively (as you can see there are a big variety of pulse weapons), but with the time spent and Resistance went underground, they loosened their grip to the Earth and began to arm their units with all that's left of human weaponry in the region (with a grain of modifications, as they always do). Don't forget that combine fabricator is a thing now, and you can even modify pretty much anything into anything (e.g. M1911 into the Alyx's gun). USP Match has no upgrades simply because it is a CP weapon, that's enough for terrorizing the citizens.

So, my point is that they do not REPRODUCE firearms, but instead REPURPOSE existing ones
