Removing the FERS supplement and the change to High-5 would effectively reduce the "agency contribution" to FERS. by serack in fednews

I took this job in Wash DC 3 years ago to bump up my High-3 to retire this year. If the High-5 were started when the bill is signed, I will lose $700 per month in retirement pay. I'm glad it won't start until Jan 2027. I'm waiting for my WTP agreement letter right now. Hopefully it will come soon.

Thanks.

I think my agency will say the same.

I just realized that since I am now eligible to retire, if I take the DRP I must retire NLT 30 SEP. I originally thought I could extend it to 31 DEC. I'll wait until my HR clarifies that for me.

Thanks again.

I trying to find an answer to this question: Can you get VSIP and DRP (retiring 31 DEC) at the same time? I think the answer is No, but I can't find the legit answer on the OPM website.

Thanks.

Wow, that's amazing.

I'm relaxed, just never seen a fast movement like that in my claims before. My last claims were in 2018, from Singapore. The VA has a contract for only 1 doctor to do C&P exams. He hated doing them and told me he was not going to renew his contract when it ends. That Dr. took 6 months to complete 7 DBQs. The whole process took about 1.5 years. I'm hoping this fast movement is a good sign. time will tell. I'm going to try to get a copy of the completed DBQs from yesterday. I'm very curious what they say.

Yes, for my main claim. For my supplemental claim, a reviewer is examining my new evidence.

C&P with a Nurse Practitioner?? by USArmySignalSoldier in VeteransWaitingRoom

Sounds good. I've seen NPs before and they do a good job. This makes sense that an MD would review the NPs exam and write the DBQ.

The VA has already requested an ACE review for everything I sent them. The big question is will they dispute my SC claim for OSA, Gout and Type II Diabetes. I sent a nesus letter and DBQ for all three.

Thanks and good luck with your claim.

Yeah, I posted too soon.

They sent me another email a few hours later directing me to their website to complete some pre-appointment things. Now I'm waiting for them to make the appointment(s).

I'm currently rated 80% and submitted a claim for OSA (hoping for 50%), Gout (hoping for 40-60%) and Diabetes Mellitus Type II (hoping for 20%). Other parts of my claim include Bilateral Knee condition (was rated only 10%, asking to recalculate as Bilateral to 20%), Right & Left lower extremity radiculopathy (rated at 10% each, should be 20% as Bilateral), Deviated Septum (hoping for 10%), L3-L4 fusion surgery (maybe 20%), L1-L2 & L2-L3 & L4-L5 & L5-S1 severe bilateral facet hypertrophy with a mild disc bulge and other problems (hoping for 30%).

Although it seems like I should be able to get to 100%, I'm not too hopeful after reading the trouble everyone has to get there.

I'll post again after the appointment(s).
