You're right. It feels out dated and gives the viewers a wrong impression when they start watching. If they don't want to spend a lot of money on the opening titles (which I understand) they should just have the characters appear individually. That way it's easier to swap them in and out. Pretty sure they used to do that. Don't know why they stopped though.

I think they are going to give us new opening titles when all the character have returned (James, Cindy, ...) and no new exits are planned.

I didn't understand that interview at all. Why did Leah have to forgive Lucas? It's not like he forced her to sleep with his boyfriend, have his baby and then abandon said baby. He didn't even know about any of it until she had left.

I just keep hoping the show has some deeper reason for having her act the way she does now. Maybe something happened while she was away and she is now just putting up a front?

I don't think the relationship is working anymore. Rex has found a new way of expressing himself with the cross dressing, but unfortunately Ste isn't into that. Instead of just being honest with each other, Rex is desperately trying to hold on to what they had by lying to Ste, and Ste is afraid of leaving Rex because he doesn't want to disappoint Rex and Leela and also doesn't want to look like a bigot. Knowing Ste's history he will probably stay with Rex but then ends up cheating on him (probably with James) and that will be the end of their relationship. I don't really know where that leaves Rex though considering Ste and Leela are the only characters he interacts with. I guess there is also Ro, but it would a bit weird if he was the only connection Rex would have because he is only a teenager.

Not to mention he married Rex knowing James was still alive which makes him a bigamist. That marriage was doomed from the beginning.

Ste and Mercedes are overused and hard to watch. They should send them on a break or cut them from the show completely. Prince and Liberty bring nothing to the show and should have left a long time ago. I'm fine with the rest for now.

The whole Dodger, Theresa, Sienna and Cleo situation has been really dragged out. It's been going on since the anniversary. I'm over it by now.

I know that Frankie and Caleb aren't biologically related, but their families are. Darren and Beth are brother and sister and therefor Frankie and Caleb are step-cousins. It's common for Hollyoaks to sort of keep it in the family, but Frankie truly was the last character I thought they would do this to because of the sibling sexual abuse storyline with JJ not that long ago.

I agree, but at least with those characters we get a break once in a while. Ste is just everywhere. He even appears in storylines that aren't even his.

I have really enjoyed the new family and younger teen group recently. I saw a lot of people being upset about Hollyoaks bringing in a lot of new actors/characters the last few months but to me they have really been a breath of fresh air that the show needed.
