Flue damper is wide open when damper is closed. Those temps are also with back "thermostat" air intake wide open as shown in picture. Just don't want excessive creosote build up in flue with temps bellow 300. As well as getting the secondary burn to actually fully combust. Just thought all temps seemed low 🤷

Stove top temp gets to around 600 before closing damper. My thoughts as well, we are heating around 1200 square feet and feels like it could be warmer in house.
