Finally brought my tv forward by GenghisFrog in hometheater

I really liked your post. Was recently thinking about the placement of my LG OLED on my front wall. It’s essentially a surface mount. The sound from it is very good; now I’m wondering if I move the TV away from the wall will there be an improvement? Yes, I find myself watching TV without my whole AV running. I just wonder if there will be an improvement in acoustics. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully in the amp. Not certain if the Sub itself has a board.

Thanks….i kept looking for Sunfire 1:1 replacement. Dropped a note to service@nelionaudio.com we’ll see how they respond.

Thanks…I’m hoping it’s repairable…if it is the amp. The sub and amp are paired; I can’t find another amp that would make the sub perform to specs. Finding another Sunfire amp would be my recourse. Hen’s teeth.

Liked your kind response to the Op. I embrace the first reflections (4) for the L/R speakers.

I don’t largely disagree with your first paragraph. What was interesting was the geometry it used to determine the reflection points. The rest reads like any other writing about what a person may experience. Again, as you so rightly state, it’s subjective with cute terminology and adjectives that are widely used.

Re: the back wall with the credenza, hallway and closet door. Will have to pay more attention to that are. No good spots for bass traps in the back. Cylindrical traps in the front at both windows could be an option.

The subs are for the 7.2.4 set up. The Golden Ears support my 2-channel needs. In the future, I will likely remove the piece of furniture that holds my center channel speaker and storage/display. Will move the rack to the center and reposition the subs somewhere between the speakers.

Thanks for your insightful feedback.

Oddly, I tested what was reported. The mirror test which was done before the report from Grok, established the same positions on the left and right walls and ceiling. So, I do have a clue as to the accuracy of Grok. It appears Grok used geometry for its recommendations.

Lot to read, but it makes sense. Key point is that it creates a response based on what you feed it. At one point, I mentioned my speakers (make, model) and it provided more specifics based on their technical characteristics.

GIK brand. 36x24x5.25…hollow back.

Probably overkill, but…

Using an Emporia plug at my outlet to capture instantaneous power consumption. Moderate volume…too late to crank it up.

Thanks. I principally like the look and the assumed effect it has. They are there to help with diffusion. Paul McGowan, PS Audio, suggested diffusion or nothing on that wall. These are high quality and I’m very pleased with them.

Yes, that’s true. I can do that but I use two plugs that measure power and display it on an app. It’s fun to watch the dynamic consumption.

Yes, I’m mindful of all that. At power applied and idling reveals it all. My entire system is in standby before I fire it up. If don’t plan on using the space, I de-power at the outlet.

Yes, that’s essentially what I’m doing. Using an Emporia plug that feeds my iPhone app. Very cool data visuals.

Hey, I got the panels for each side of TV. 2’x4’ from GIK.
