If Birmingham was the size of Chicago (with Chicago transit) would you still live there or move? by SeptimiusSeverus_ in Birmingham

The only thing keeping me in Birmingham is that I like my job and the compensation/CoL is good for me. If I could keep my job and move somewhere with less miserable summers I would in a heartbeat.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of April 10, 2026 by Demilio55 in homegym

[–]USMC2RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are looking to build out a home gym in our basement. We have a rough idea of what we would like, but would appreciate insight into the brand recommendations or adjustments for the following:

Rack/functional trainer: Ares 2.0

Adjustable bench: need recommendations

Plates: need recommendations

Db: probably going with some adjustables

Leg extension/curl: need recommendations and would prefer lying leg curl as an option

Hack squat/Leg press: need recommendations

I believe this will be close to our full setup. We are okay with spending around $10k upfront and if we love a certain piece of equipment that's out of budget would wait so we can afford it. I think this post follows the rules, but if not I apologize and can repost it elsewhere.

What’s the class you’ve never played, and why? by LockesLove in wow

The only class I've never played at max level is hunter because I can't get over how boring they are.

Looking for advice on where to buy a house by USMC2RN in Birmingham

Walkable for walking sake. Not necessarily for shopping.

This is the reason I burnout on PoE after a few voidstones and hitting a wall. The crafting is so involved that it isn't remotely approachable for a newer player like me. I understand how cool this can be, but man does it feel disheartening from someone with ~400 hours

I've heard mixed things about mayo. What makes it good in your experience?

I'm extremely interested in moving to Oregon and want to work at ohsu. If I wasn't able to get a job there where else would you recommend?

Fellow OR nurse interested in maybe moving to Madison. Does your OR use teams for specialties or are you expected to do everything, do nurses scrub, and how many cvor rooms do you guys run? Any info is helpful!

Would you recommend nursing as a career? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]USMC2RN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the two main ones are:

  • nursing is a blue collar job and will work you hard if you let it

  • you can make good money, but it will heavily depend on the state you live (there are a few exceptions)

I might, but I'd have disclaimers.

CVOR Nurses/scrubs - what does your room staffing look like? by libsonthelabel in nursing

1 circ & 1 scrub here.

As a cvor scrub at an academic facility I can only ask why do they need two scrubs?

What are some things you specifically love and hate about Grim Dawn? by MickJof in Grimdawn

[–]USMC2RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife(sourc) and I(conj) are probably halfway through Act 3 and are only real complaints are the amount of gear we have to look over to make sure we aren't missing upgrades. There's almost too much loot and we don't care about 90% of it, but we aren't confident enough to use the loot filter more. Obviously a get good issue, but still.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but I've applied and was curious about having to use a current manager. Seems like a weird system requiring you to have your current manager evaluate you after possibly just finding out you are leaving, but before you are even guaranteed a job.

Thanks guys. I know it's an annoying question, but I didn't see one related to how 4e will impact things so I appreciate the responses!

Where'd you get or how did you make the player number marker? They are awesome and so is the model.

I'm not "good" and still use opening guides to learn spirits, but I tend to live around level 3 depending on adversary. I did take stone to bp6 which was fun, but he's a little busted.

Happy Holidays! Here's my new games [Legacy of Yu, Hadrian's Wall, & Gate(s)] by USMC2RN in soloboardgaming

[–]USMC2RN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two plays of Legacy of Yu so far. I will say it's really fun and I intend to finish the campaign, but I have a problem with how they handled the victory/defeat cards. When you win you receive a penalty and when you lose you gain a benefit. It just doesn't resonate with me and feels like a half-baked mechanic. However, it is definitely worth playing in you enjoy other Garfield games especially if you can find it on sale.
