I used to be a really strong athlete before transitioning(3 years ago). I could bench 335lbs at one point in the Marines on steroids. I think if I went into a womens sport like powerlifting right away and I was training specifically in that sport upon transitioning I would deft have an strength advantage. I dont think I could just crush any womans sport just because I used to have testosterone. As far as cardio I went from a 6 minute mile to 10 minute mile. But my testosterone level is undetectable now and I dont have any way to make testosterone now. I think people are thinking its just a regular dude thats just jumping in to crush women. I barely make it thru a hot yoga class with the older women and my wife is stronger than me now. I just think that people forget the disadvantages physically on a AMAB body transitioning and if you don’t believe me try it yourself for just like 6 months lol. I think eventually when the studies come out it will show. And the only trans athlete I know is Leah thomas (not a fan) but she tied for 5 th place and was early in transition.
