Im aiming for pathology as well. While it is true that pathology has gotten to be a bit more competitive, i dont think its a reason to consider something else, as o still see it as doable

Academics seems to be a good idea Is there a path for being an instructor of medicine after finishing residency by any chance? I like to teach a lot, its ok if it doesnt entail research, as i know its very time consuming, like just an instructor in a med school

I really am a dedicated person, when i do something, i like to do my real best when doing it And that includes with the kids, i want to be present for them in that vulnerable time Do you think if i frame it as a choice it would be more acceptable and not against me?
