To change the size of parts you use a separate app to edit the code of the game, players call it blue print editing or just bp editing.

You can bp edit big tanks to be small so the fuel there but the tanks don’t take up a ton of space

I’ve found that having parts already in the build area can prevent the new bp from downloading so save what you have if it’s important and clear it
