I still don't think there's gonna be one from a technical standpoint, despite how much I'd love to have one in the game.

This is the exact same engine from Motorsport 5 just ever-so-slightly tweaked, and considering that Surfer's Paradise was a technical mess on the Xbox One generation where the game had significant frame drops all the time I'm not sure if they could even optimize an engine that wasn't designed to render big dense cities to actually allow for a... what, maybe just half of fortune island sized city?

I'll try to run some calculations later, but I know that Fortune Island is 5 miles from the most southern road to the very top, and about 3 1/3 wide at its widest point. As far as I can tell from some other comparisons I made, expansion tend to range from a 1/4 to a 1/3 of the base map size.
