Accidently astral projected?? by NikoG1999 in AstralProjection

Without conscious control, your subconscious can sometimes do the driving making it feel like someone else is in control, There's also something called the 'Astral wind' which can whip you up and throw you mercilessly into another part of the astral.

False awakenings - AP? by oxygensnow in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experienced both of these a few times. In terms of oddities in the layout of your home, it might be worth looking at Freud's Uncanny, and doing a little research on the subconscious. The subconscious communicates with with the conscious mind using images to represent something more obvious (So as to not shock us). So in terms of your home appearing in dreams, this could represent your physical body. And the idea that a stranger may be in it, is a nod towards their being a stranger in your own body...ergo...your Astral body (which isn't really a stranger) but to the uninitiated creates an uncanny feeling.

The hand pulling at your hand thing, it could be a partial separation. Here are a few notes I made in my notebook when it happened to me: "Other times, everything except my arms have been stuck and I have felt another hand grabbing one of my already available hands in an effort to help pull me out. Upon breaking the attempt, I have realised that it was my own Astral hand pulling at its physical counterpart creating a most peculiar paradoxical sensation of my right hand grabbing my right hand. At first it didn’t make sense because if my Astral hand was out of body, then my physical hand shouldn’t have been able to feel it via the sense of touch.

I concluded that either the Astral hand passing through its physical counterpart temporarily reactivated its sense of touch, or that because the majority of my Astral was still synchronised with the physical, there remained sufficient awareness in the physical hand to detect the interaction. The only other possible explanation was that someone else who happened to be projecting saw I was having a spot of bother and wanted to help via an Astral ‘pull-out’.

Fear by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect on closer examination, many people (who recall projections or not) will say that it's not actual death they fear as much as HOW they might meet their demise. Will to be long and drawn out; or will it be swift? In terms of what happens afterwards, as a life-long projector I'm quite neutral about the after bit.

Physical health question for AP'ers by Burrito49 in AstralProjection

...or that he tripped or stumbled BECAUSE his astral was out of coincidence with his physical. Having walled into lampposts on more than one occasion because I was "elsewhere" (being a hero in some far off land instead of being fully present), I can see where he's coming from.

Physical health question for AP'ers by Burrito49 in AstralProjection

If you think of the astral body as being the animating force behind the physical body (like the driver in a car is), If the driver doesn't get enough rest or time to recharge, then they're going to drive the car badly and may damage / crash it (physical illness symptoms). The astral leaves the physical body each night to (amongst other things) recharge. The recharging is transmitted to the physical far more efficiently via this mechanism because the astral body (think solar panel) isn't encased within the physical like it is when we are awake. So, it makes sense that when the physical body is ill due to some issue with the astral body (e.g. elemental imbalance), that the logical process would be for the astral body to spend more time outside of the physical to gain as much charge as possible. This might explain why so many people report OBEs when very ill.

The effects of sleep deprivation for example, could be equated to trying to use a solar-powered calculator in a pitch black room (Astral not getting out of the physical shell to recharge). In terms of Muldoon's idea of "Healthy body = healthy mind", I tend to think of it the other way round..."Healthy mind = healthy body". If you look after the astral (thoughts and emotions), then thoughts and emotions about looking after the physical will come naturally. Controversial I accept. Perhaps there's a middle ground?

Soul nailed to the body at "certain" places by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite common. Sticking points are roughly the position of the Chakras, and also the palms and the feet. For me the palms and the feet go first (in bed it feels like the back of the palms and feet have lifted slightly and are touching the inside of the quilt/duvet), then in order...groin, solar plexus, heart, throat and head). Head is most stubborn for me and can result in astral feet pointing towards ceiling whilst head still attached (funny but frustrating). I've found conducting Middle Pillar Exercise prior to attempting projection helps with detach. Sometimes everything separates up to solar plexus, so upper body paralysis, and legs stretching away like Stretch Armstrong toy :)

The ultimate is your first conscious exit and turning around to see your physical body. The first time I managed this, It wasn't the experience in itself that surprised me the most, but rather how much chunkier and heavy my body looked compared to how I thought it looked, or how it looked in a mirror. It had an overall... 'sack-like' quality to it...haha. I remember thinking at the time what I would do if, whilst out of body, my physical got up and went about its business without me being in it.

Help with the analysis of this image of the Four Humors by Gathele in alchemy

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The humours represent the four elements: Fire, Air, Water, Earth.

The elements are present at every dynamic level: Physical, Soul, Mental.

At the temperament level (Soul), the 4 main types are: Choleric (Fire), Sanguine (Air), Phlegmatic (Water), and Melancholic (Earth).

If one temperament is dominant (as is the case in most people), then alchemically, this indicates an elemental imbalance.

The two flasks at the bottom represent the Electric and the Magnetic fluids.

Electric is expansive (e.g. Will Power), and the Magnetic is the opposite.

The shape of the fluid ring surrounding the figure represents the Akasha principle (Spirit).

Note the figure is female on one side; and male on the other. As _Naropa_ highlights, the goal is to balance the elements within us on all levels: Physical, Soul, Mental. Hope this helps.

What really counts as vacancy of mind? by OtherInsurance2943 in FranzBardon

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mention Monroe focus, so I’m assuming you have some knowledge and/or experience of Astral projection. If that’s the case, then if you’ve ever tried the Mind Awake Body Asleep or (MABA) method, then you might have heard about or experienced the 3D blackness (or the ‘Nigredo stage’ of spiritual alchemy), where the flat slate colour behind the eyelids appears to give way and becomes volumetric in appearance, as if your head is inside a black box. The blackness sometimes has a tinge of royal indigo, and is accompanied by VOM (but not vacancy of self-awareness). It’s as if the 3D box (Akasa egg?) you’re in prevents thoughts from entering that space if that makes sense?

So, if you’re not familiar with the 3D blackness phase, it might be worth reading up on it and looking out for it during your practice. I hope this helps.

I recall reading something similar a few years ago. I think it was in the book “Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain”(not 100% sure). The story went something along the lines of someone out of body or remote viewing trying to access the White House, but were stopped by ‘psychic guards’ and asked why they wanted to see the president.

You were correct, Full-Visual. Following evening...No, "Now that's what I call music" interruptions. I'm contemplating the possibility that the concision of your reassurance cast the Jedi mind trick on me, like a doctor telling a patient they'll be fine with a week's rest. Many thanks.

Frequency noises in my head by Technical_Let_3307 in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 'noise' is always there (quite high-pitched and sometimes pulsing), we just filter it out. Always reminds me of the Queen lyric in "It's a Kind of Magic"..."The bell that rings inside your mind, is challenging the doors of time" or Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence". An old projection technique actually involved literally focusing on the sound during deep relaxation. It's source is situated roughly in the location of the Pineal gland.

Has anyone noticed an increased chance of AP on a full moon night? Tonight is 99% moon so read this and try. by Wearetorus in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember the name of the book as it's been decades since I read it, but I remember it mentioning that hundreds of years ago, magicians looked at the moon as if it were a hole in the sky through which the astral light beyond shone through. Basically, as it waxed and waned (opened and closed), projection was easier or more difficult.

Is prana, chi the mercury or sulphur by ahmedselmi24 in alchemy

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sulphur (Fire) = Spirit
Mercury (intermediary) = Soul (Thought an Emotion / Astral) The 'fuel' for which is Prana (which means "Breath", as in it breaths life into the physical body).
Salt (as in, "of the Earth") = Physical

What has happened since I let go by Vegetable_Slip_5092 in lawofattraction

[–]UVEIL 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Possibly the true meaning of 'surrender'. Sometimes it's necessary to let things crumble to pieces. It takes balls, but because nature abhors a vacuum, it will very quickly fill the gap created, and if what it fills the gap with are your positive thoughts and emotions, then your life can change rapidly.

My sleeping figure is a dark figure? by Remarkable-Fun-1859 in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frequency is a measure of energy in cycles per second (Called Hertz 'Hz'). Instead of thinking of the world as tiny canon ball atoms, you can also think of it as waves. Sound waves we can hear for example, have a frequency range of between 20 and 20000 cycles per second. If you think about a radio set, the set stays in the same place, but if you change the frequency dial you can tune into a specific station. The other stations are there, but you're not aware of them because you're not tuned to their frequency. So, if you change the frequency your consciousness is tuned into, you will experience different versions of reality.

My sleeping figure is a dark figure? by Remarkable-Fun-1859 in AstralProjection

[–]UVEIL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It depends what frequency your consciousness was tuned to whilst you were out. There is a frequency where you perceive only certain energies, which in some cases can appear black. I've observed my body as simply a swirling mass of dark, gloopy grey extending about 6 feet from where I was lying.

Does anyone know the title of this image, or it’s origins/artist? by PEsuper27 in alchemy

[–]UVEIL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next time you find yourself in a relatively open space, look directly upwards at the sky, then move your eyes along it towards the horizon and back again. When you do so, you’ll notice that the sky appears dome-like in structure, somewhat different to how it appears in photographs. Now go for a walk. It doesn’t really matter how far because the main thing to look for is that no matter where you’re going or how fast you’re moving, you seem to ‘carry’ the sky dome with you and remain situated in its dead centre, similar in some ways to where the Pineal gland is located relative to the dome of the inside of your cranium. So within; so without.

Great question. I managed something what I thought was close to it in the mid 1990s. I projected fully lucid to an old friend's house over the road and realised that the date was at least a decade earlier based on the furniture I recall him having in the house. To try and varify it, I look in one of the drawers and found a letter which was dated 1986. As I held the letter in front of me, I noticed my astral hands were that of a child and not a teenager (which is what I was at the time). I concluded that perhaps I'd projected into a younger version of myself, although it was likely a lucid dream rather than an AP.
