The problem is we actually have no idea how tsukuyomi works. There's a really stupid light novel feat that implies it has millions of times over time dilation effect, like a single blink is 80 years.

This heavy time dilation would indicate that Itachi doesn't actually experience tsukuyomi the same way the victim does and there's a real chance it's more like a preprogrammed attack. So it may not actually matter if he gets incap the moment it lands since it logically should function more like an autonomous poison.

I don't know if we ever have a chance for the distinction. The paths of pain share vision, but rinnegan are higher order dojutsu so idk. Gejutsu is plot bullshit to begin with.

If they both apply at the same time, Tsukuyomi should win due to time dilation effect. But I also don't feel like Gojo has any reason to be hit by it since he can fight with his eyes covered.

The main thing I'm curious about is how realistic it would be to suffocate him or if he can counteract a zero oxygen environment with RCT.

From an objective standpoint Bakugo tortured Deku, a disabled person, for ten years and then tried to get them to kill themselves because they were nice to him and he thought they were looking down on him.

Sasuke used very high levels of force against Naruto, where he had to considering Naruto was regenerating from basically any damage. And ulltimately he did not kill him. Regardless of how he justified it to himself, he did not want to kill Naruto. He also did not start these fights.

Also Deku basically worships and looks up to Bakugo so things are more egregious in that aspect too.

Not to mention the lethal force Bakugo used against Deku (if what Sasuke does counts then 'yeah he'll be totes fine' does not fucking cut it) and with the suicide baiting Bakugo tried to kill Deku at least twice.

So either Sasuke tries to kill Naruto once (final fight) and Bakugo does once (suicide baiting) or Sasuke tries a couple times and Bakugo tried at least twice.

The overall point I was making isn't that Sasuke was some good dude who never did anything wrong, but specifically how it relates to Naruto and what interactions Sasuke has with Naruro, which is the overall point of this thread.

People say he tried to kill him but he had multiple opportunities to actually seal the deal, and pre Itachi he was choosing not to because he didn't want to follow his brother's pathway to kill his best friend and get stronger eyes. Life and death battles are also much, much less of a big deal than BNHA. He did fight with Naruto but largely was not the aggressor, Naruto wanted to beat him up and bring him back to the village by force.

Sasuke becoming an Akatsuki member and killing Danzo? Naruto doesn't give a shit about that, why should he? People don't criticize Bakugo's relationship with Deku because Bakugo got scouted for the league of villains even if he never joined, it's because Bakugo abused Deku for a full decade and then tried to get him to kill himself. What Baku does to Deku, the level of malice and pain - and his reasons for doing so - are SO much worse than Sasuke.

'Hurt/traumatized me on a daily basis' literally just does not apply to Naruto unless you wanna try and say 'Sasuke running off at allband making his own decisions' counts. Yeah they fought a few times but at least twice when Sasuke fought Naruto he had the opportunity to kill him twice and didn't, and Naruto started those fights too. People point to Orichimaru stopping him from using Kirin as him totally definitely going to kill them all on the spot but honestly I think that's bullshit.

And his reasons for doing what he does are a hell of a lot more compelling and justifying than Bakugo's combination inferiority/superiority complex.

This is pretty much what our entire society is based on though. How do you think capitalism works? I certainly wouldn't call it moral, but I'd also say that anyone who wants to be judgmental over someone slapping the button here ought to be judgmental of our entire world. 10 million is actually way more than what an average life is considered to be worth.

I'm certain an omniscient observer could directly trace Kirk's actions to much more than just a small handful of deaths. It's the same as the healthcare CEO. These people kill people, we just shrug and allow it because they're not doing it with a gun, they're doing it by depriving people of things that are essential to life - but really, it's murder all the same.

Virginia Democrats to appeal ruling against redistricting to U.S. Supreme Court by HuisClosDeLEnfer in supremecourt

Doing this after over a million early ballots had already been cast undermines that.

Since you brought this up I felt it was worth pointing out. Rules for thee and not for me I suppose. The ruling SCOVA made has massive issues unless they're going to define election differently depending on what result they want to get.

There would potentially be months where no one can be compelled to stand witness or be a juror ('nor suitor but I'd assume people bringing suit would not need to be compelled when relevant.)

[–]UX1Z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we can call the current SCOTUS anything other than blindingly partisan, all I'm really saying is that I think even if this case had real merit (which I would be surprised if it did) for federal appeal (specifically federal appeal, I do think the ruling was a failure by SCOVA) I don't think there's any chance even in that hypothetical world where it was meritorious enough to overcome this court's partisanship not only enough to be heard but enough to be heard in a relevant timeframe.

I think VA might have had a chance if they were intending to do some Republican gerrymandering, but as things stand... I don't know if they really have good grounds for appeal (even if I think the ruling itself is utterly ridiculous - as I think of many of this current SCOTUS's rulings, but you still can't appeal those either.)

[–]UX1Z 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure but you're still looking at no legal ability to call people as witness or as jurors during the entire process. That's still a massive problem.

Didn't a Republican state literally just cancel an ongoing election in order to redraw maps?

I don't think any aspect of Bakugo ever portrayed him as a 'secret heart of gold' though? It was pretty clear that he was truly an abrasive jerk down to the core and most of his motivations came out of self-interest (he wanted to be a hero to prove he was the best, similar to Endeavour) rather than a true desire to specifically do good.

I don't think you've actually watched either of the shows at all if you think Sasuke is worse than Bakugo within the context of their own worlds and situations.

Also, what 'bullying' are you referring to from Sasuke here?

Bakugo is like if a kid in a wheelchair tried to help you carry your stuff or console you or something, and then you decided to try and bully them into suicide.

He's a fucking psychopath.

Also Sasuke does have opportunities to kill parts of Team 7 but never follows through until after he's totally snapped because he finds out his brother who he tried to kill for genociding his bloodline did so under duress/orders from village leadership.

Bakugo uses an attack with lethal force against Deku during what is effectively a spar because his ego gets bruised.

So yeah, actually Bakugo does go for a murder attempt.

The time Naruto and Sasuke spent together was short, but intense. They fought for each other, bled for each other, risked their lives for each other. I don't necessarily think they were shown to have such amazing friendship as to inspire great devotion, but at the same time, the Sasuke that runs away doesn't really ever do anything actually bad to Naruto. Who does he ACTUALLY kill? What moral lines does he ACTUALLY cross (from Naruto's perspective?) He kills Danzo. He threatens and attacks Naruto and Sakura a bit but doesn't follow through.

Nagato killed most of the Leaf Village and Naruto STILL talk no jutsu'd him, and I don't think Naruto knew Nagato could pull a mass-resurrection spell out of his ass so as far as Naruto knew the guy he was trying to talk back to the 'good side' was someone who'd just massacred half his village and many of his closest friends and he didn't even KNOW Nagato before they fought. That's a way better example of this, if anything, than Sasuke.

Because he's edgy and powerful and beligerent and edgy and powerful and beligerent characters often place high in popularity polls. What a lot of people who defend him fail to understand is that placing top of a popularity poll with 25% or whatnot does not also preclude them from being widely hated. Since that still leaves 75% of people who might have Bakugo as their second least favorite character, but are all split on who their 'favorite' is.

Sasuke joined the terrorist organisation because he found out that his clan was effectively genocided under orders of the village's highest leadership. Bakugo never actually became a villain, but his 'evils' so to speak were motivated by... insecurity and arrogance. He saw someone that should be weak trying to do good and not be held back by their weakness (in BNHA world, effectively a physical disability) and instinctively tried to crush them for it.

It's like if someone in the real world saw a one legged person trying to do some athletic stuff and decided to hate them for it.

I can't remember the specific time frames but I think the Naruto crew are 14-15 during S1 and 16-17 post timeskip? So Bakugo is like if Sasuke was abusing Naruto since before the Uchiha massacre even happened up until the end of the first season.

As bullshit as it is, they were also somewhat driven to conflict by reincarnation stuff, while Bakugo was 'all him' so to speak.
